~Sahil's POV~
The aftermath of Jessica's inexplicable appearance had left Dina and me in a state of shock. We retreated to the safety of her room, where the air was thick with unease. I glanced at the door and, with a silent command, used my powers to seal it, ensuring that no unwanted presence could intrude upon us. Dina's trembling form sought solace in my arms, her face pale and her eyes still wide with fear.
Sahil: softly "Dina, it's going to be okay. We're safe now."
She clung to me as if I were her lifeline in the midst of a tempest. Her heartbeat resonated against my chest, a constant reminder of the turmoil that had just unfolded. I held her tightly, my fingers gently stroking her hair in a soothing gesture.
Dina: tearfully "Sahil, I never imagined any of this. It's like we're in a nightmare."
Sahil: whispering "I know, Dina. I know."
But as my eyes fell upon her injured arm, where the scratch from Jessica's sinister touch had left her bleeding, my protective instincts kicked in. I couldn't bear to see her in pain, and I knew that my powers could offer her relief. However, the price was steep—a part of myself.
Sahil: hesitant "Dina, please... let me help you. I can heal your wound, but it'll hurt me in the process."
Dina: concerned "Hurt you? Sahil, I can't let you do that."
She looked up at me with a mix of gratitude and concern, and I couldn't help but admire her strength. But I couldn't bear to see her suffer, not after everything she had been through. I took her hand gently and, with a focused effort, channeled my power to heal her wound. The moment my power touched her blood, a shiver ran down my spine, and I was overcome by a strange sense of recognition.
Sahil: whispering to himself "Her blood... it's familiar."
Dina: voice quivering "Sahil, what's happening? Why does your touch feel so... strange?"
As I continued to heal her, I noticed that her panting began to subside, and her tears slowly dried. Her fear was being replaced by confusion, and I struggled to find the words to explain what I had just realized.
Sahil: voice trembling "Dina, I... I think I know why."
Dina: bewildered "Know why? Sahil, what are you talking about?"
But before I could answer, I saw her blood on my fingers, and something inside me snapped into place. The truth was undeniable—Dina's blood was somehow connected to a long history I had with the bloodline of the Imperial Legacy. The realization was both exhilarating and terrifying, and I couldn't help but break into a cold sweat.
Sahil: stuttering "Dina, don't be worried and scared when I... when I say this, but... you belong to..."
And with those unfinished words hanging in the air, a heavy silence descended upon us. Dina's eyes searched mine for answers, but I was lost in a sea of thoughts and memories. The enigmatic connection between her blood and the Imperial Legacy had unveiled a complex web of secrets that threatened to engulf us both.
Our emotions were tangled, and the weight of the unknown pressed upon us as we faced a future filled with uncertainty. The bond between us had grown stronger through the mysteries and dangers we had encountered, but now it was tested by a revelation that could change everything we knew.
Dina: whispering "Sahil, tell me... tell me what you're trying to say."
Sahil: stuttering "Y-you.. you belong to the Imperial Legacy bloodline...
You have siblings, and your father is not dead.. your father is Antonio, and Jessica...
Jessica is your sister..."
And with those words hanging in the air, the room seemed to close in around us, and the mysteries of our building deepened, drawing us further into a world of shadows and secrets.
