Hey I'm Ivy I've just turned 18 and my mum is kinda famous. You may be wondering "Who is my mum?" Well My mum is non-other than Rachel Corsie the former captain of the Scotland women's football and Aston Villa teams, former Utah Royals player and an inspiration to many young girls. Now don't get me wrong my mum is awesome! but sometimes I do wish I wasn't living in her spotlight especially now that I'm definitely committing my life to playing football. You may be wondering why you're only now committing your life to football but Last week Chelsea one of the biggest football teams in the world offered me a contract. Don't get me wrong I was in utter disbelief Chelsea was interested in me and I have loads to think about firstly the distance London is ages away from my hometown of Aberdeen and secondly I'd be my entire life behind, leaving my best friends since birth Isla and Izzy, the house I've lived in for 18 years, my football team and most importantly my mum,dad and little sister they are my world and the thought of leaving them breaks my heart, so currently I have no clue weather to take this amazing opportunity and leave everything behind or give up this once in a lifetime opportunity to stay with my family. But I'll see what my mum and dad say before I make my decision
About a week later at the Scott family dinner
Ivy- mum.. dad I have something to tell you
Rachel- ooooh what is it sweetheart
Ivy- well.. I've been offered a contract with Chelsea women
Graham- that's amazing squirt!.... you're taking the contract aren't you?
Rachel- wait hold Chelsea as in the London team
Ivy- I thought you might say...
Rachel- Ivy that's great news! Congratulations sweetheart
Ivy- so you think I should take the contract?
*said unconvincingly*
Graham- wait you don't want to take the contract?
Ivy- no it's nothing like that at all it's just...
Rachel- leaving everything behind
Ivy- mum.. how did you know
Morgan- leaving everything behind? what like you'd move to London permanently?
*Ivy sighs*
Ivy- if I made the decision to go then yes
Morgan- No! No you can't go! please
Graham- Morgan remember it's your sisters decision and this move would be amazing for her career
Morgan- I know but...
Graham- no buts Morgan
*looks to Ivy*
Graham- Ivy it's completely your decision whether to stay or go and I know me your mother and your sister will support you no matter what
Ivy- I don't know I'll have to have a longer think about it I'm still not convinced though
Rachel- well you'll have to make a decision sooner rather than later sweetheart
Ivy- I know but can I think about it for a day or two first?
Morgan- Surely you aren't desperate to go
Rachel- Morgan enough it's your sister's decision not yours!Ivy's pov
Well I suppose now it's time to review my options. the club have said I need to come to a decision by the end of the week or they'll find someone else to take my offer. Mum and dad have persuaded me to agreeing to the contract but Morgan's reaction makes me doubtful about signing with the club, she's my little sister and seeing her this upset makes my decision even more difficult. But I need to do this for me and to better my career. I guess it's time to break the heart of my little sister.
