Hades stared down at me, looking at me as if I was beneath him, keeping that same stupid annoying smirk he had since he appeared.
I scoffed at Hades' earlier words, honestly surprised that he had actually shown up. "If you want me to be honest, then yes. You've been sitting on your ass almost this entire war." Hades' smirk immediately faded from his face at my words, but I interrupted whatever inane dribble he was about to spout. "At least you're finally here, at the most important battle of them all. Maybe you can redeem yourself for the past five years of your stupidity."
Hades' expression turned into a downright glare at my words. "Careful, Williams. I may just leave if that's the kind of respect I get in return for risking my own existence to be here." My eyes immediately moved towards him as soon as the words left his mouth. My aura flared to life in an instant, the lightning cage of my Thunder Form erupting around me. I appeared behind Hades, his onyx eyes unable to track me in the slightest.
My movement caused a shockwave that I controlled to only affect the Lord of The Dead, using my telekinesis to stop Nico from being sent flying into space, as well as using my telekinesis to make sure my transformation didn't crack reality. Hades stumbled from the wave with a grunt, and I leveled Thymos' head at the back of Hades' skull.
Hades stiffened with a slight gasp as a spike from the Heavenly Diamond Morningstar touched his hair, and the Lord of The Dead no doubt felt just how powerful my aura was. "If you did that, you'd be the third person I'd have to execute for treason in the past twenty-four hours." I pressed down on the back of Hades' head, drawing a bit of ichor with the spiked tip of Thymos, slightly weakening Hades' aura. "Go on...give me a reason."
Hades immediately stiffened even more at my words, and he started to look a little nervous. "N-Now hang on, nephew. Let's not get out of hand here." Hades' cowardice came on full display as he turned around and looked directly at my weapon, something I couldn't really blame him too much for. Hades had already fought me at his full power, only to be beaten in one punch. Hades could also sense my divine energy as well, no doubt realizing I've grown a hell of a lot stronger.
I dropped my hand that was holding Thymos to his neck back to my side, keeping the Heavenly Diamond Morning Star in my hand. "Then we speak nothing more of this. I have suffered more than my share of betrayal today, so I'd rather not have to kill yet another ally on our side, especially with one such as your power, uncle. But if it comes to it...I will. Believe me." Hades nodded as if he was a child who just had their hand smacked after trying to reach into the cookie jar, causing me to smirk slightly at Hades' spinelessness.
I turned my attention back to Nico as I dropped my Thunder Form, who had been watching the exchange between me and his father silently. "So...how did you manage to convince this old bag of overwhelming stupidity to leave the Underworld and actually come help us for a change?" Hades' eyebrows furrowed from hearing my causally disrespectful words, but out of his own sense of self-preservation, he stayed silent.
Nico chuckled at my quite accurate description of his father, before answering my question. "Oh, believe me, it took a whole lot of time and words. I finally managed to convince him to get up off his ass and stop letting people die just this morning. The same time when...that...happened." My brow furrowed at Nico's allusion, reminded once again that Taylor was dead. However, with the very Lord of The Dead himself here, I suddenly gained a new idea.
I turned to said Lord of The Dead, however he spoke before the words could even leave my mouth. "I can't do it, nephew." Hades clearly knew what I was about to ask. Made sense, as he did preside over the Underworld. "Returning Taylor Smyth from the dead would go against the Ancient Laws. They are quite clear on matters such as this." My eyes shifted towards Hades, unable to even believe what I heard.
