My friend had convinced me to go out to a party with her, I had only agreed because I didn't want to leave her alone, but somehow she had managed to disappear a few minutes after we had arrived. So now here I am, at a party when I would most definitely prefer to be at home, curled up in bed with a book.

I finally decided it was time to leave when she texted me, telling me she had left with a guy named Rook like 20 minutes ago.

I lifted myself off the couch I'd been sitting on and tried to make my way to the exit. I really wish I would have paid more attention to the layout of the house when we'd arrived tonight. As I'm looking around, someone collided with me, dumping beer all down the front of my dress and into the tops of my combat boots.

"Shit," I cursed as I felt it puddle in my boots

"Shit," I cursed as I felt it puddle in my boots.

"Oh fuck! I am so fucking sorry, love." The guy responded. He was tall, so tall I had to crane my neck to make eye contact, and he was already looking down at me.

"It's fine." I responded as I went to unzip my boots. I just wish I hadn't taken my spare clothes out of my car. My whole car will smell like beer tomorrow."

"Umm..." The man said as he reached up to scratch his neck. "This is my house. Would you like to borrow some clothes and we can bag yours up ?"

"That would be amazing." I responded

"Cool, my room is this way." He said, leading me up the stairs.

It was silent for a few moments before I spoke.

"So, what's your name ?" I asked, not sure where else to start. I just knew I couldn't take the silence.

"Colson," he responded, "and yours,"

"Y/N." I replied

"Y/N," he repeated. "That's very pretty. I like it."

At that moment, he opened the door to what I assumed was his room, and I followed him inside.

"I know they will probably be way too big, but its better than that beer covered dress." He said as he handed me a long sleeve shirt, a pair of joggers, as well as a new pair of socks.

He pointed me in the direction of the bathroom, and I went in and changed

He pointed me in the direction of the bathroom, and I went in and changed. I had to roll the waist band and the ankles to get the pants to the point where I wasn't walking on them. When I stepped out, I was kinda surprised to see him standing outside the door waiting for me, almost like a bodyguard. I had half expected him to walk away.

He smiled at me and grabbed my hand, leading me back downstairs and into the kitchen. He grabbed a store bag from under the sink and had me place my dress and socks inside, tying it shut. He then took my boots from my hand.
When he spoke next, it wasn't anything I had expected from the handsome stranger.

"Would you like me to walk you to your car?"

"Sure," I responded, unsure of what else to say.

We walked to my car in silence until I spoke, surpirsing myself, "Would you like to exchange numbers ? You know, so I can give you back your clothes." I added quickly.

"Why not." He responded quickly, pulling his phone from his pocket.

As we finished exchanging numbers, we made it to my car.

"You know, having my number doesn't mean you have to give those back." He said. "Although, it would allow me to ask you out on a date." He finished as I got situated in my car.

"Well, it would sure be cool if you did." I responded with a smile.
