Choi Soobin became deaf at a very young age. Nobody has learned sign language for him, not even his own mother. Thats when he met Y/n who happened to know sign language.

It was the next morning. I kinda slept in a bit since there is no school! Yay! Hehe. The school dance is today so I get to stay home, even though the dance is later today, woohoo.
I grabbed my phone from my nightstand and texted Soobin.
Y/n🌸: Good morning Soobin❤️
Soobin🐰❤️: Good morning Y/n🌞❤️
Y/n🌸: When shall we go on our picnic?
Soobin🐰❤️: How about in 30 minutes? Is that okay?🤔👀
Y/n🌸: Sure! And where at?
Soobin🐰❤️: Oh. How about the park we went to yesterday?
Y/n🌸: Sure! I'll meet you there 🤭
Soobin🐰❤️: Oki!
I got up from bed and walked over to my closet. Darn, I don't know what I should wear..
I picked out a plain, casual, and simple dress. Nothing too fancy.
Then I went downstairs and ate some breakfast. Nothing too much since I would imagine that Soobin's mom will make Soobin bring bread. But who knows?
"Hey Y/n." I heard my mother say as she sat down at the other side of the table.
"Hi mom." I smiled at her and she smiled back.
"Soooo," she smirked, "is it a date with Soobin?" She asked.
"I- I don't know actually." My mom seemed a bit shocked from my response. I think she was expecting me to say something like: "What no? We're just friends." Or something.
"You really don't know?? Do you like him?" She asked.
"Y- yeah.. And he likes me too." I said as I started to blush thinking about our first kiss.
"Really? Wow. I'm so shocked. I thought you'd never like anybody." She said then laughed.
"If everyone was as annoying and stuck up as the others in my school, then yeah I wouldn't like anybody. But Soobin is so sweet, I can tell that he actually cares about what I say. And he doesn't try to change me, or himself... I can't describe it mom, but Soobin makes me so happy and he makes me feel safe." I stated, as she continued smirking at me.
"That is love, hun. But be careful, love can also hurt you sometimes. So don't rush into anything. Create good memories together and cherish them. Don't do anything too quickly because you'll miss it all. Do you know what I mean?" She asked.
I know what she means. My mother went into a relationship as a teen and they wanted to be married as soon as possible, and married young. Then they wanted children as soon as possible, so they had me. Then they started to miss the time they were dating and the time before they had a family to take care of. They loved me of course but they felt like their lives just flew by. And now dad has passed some years ago. And I'm almost an adult. So she misses everything.
I've known Soobin for quite a while now. But of course I will take my mother's advice because she is right.
"Yeah mom. I know what you mean. I won't rush into anything crazy too soon." I said with a reassuring smile.
"That's good." She smiled. "So, are you two dating now? Orrrrr what? Fill me in on everything!" She giggled.
"No, I don't think we are yet. But okay! Ahh."...
It only took some minutes to fill my mom in on everything that took place yesterday. I mean, not everything, but the things that happened with Soobin.
"Y/n, I bet he'll ask you to be his girlfriend today." She shrugged.
"Ah, maybe." I covered my face from the blush.
Then I saw my watch, I have to go now.
"Mom, I have to get going now! Soobin is probably already going. I love you, bye bye. I'll see you later." I said, then kissed my mother's cheek.
"Of course hunny, remember to-"
"Be back before dinner time." I cut off.
She smiled and I ran out the door.
Soobin pov.
I was walking to the park and enjoying the view. It was a nice, beautiful day. Perfect for a picnic with my favorite girl.
I smiled and blushed at the thought.
I can't wait to see my favorite Y/n.
It might sound a bit rude but I hope Huening Kai doesn't come this time. He's my best friend along with Y/n, but I really want this picnic to be just her and me. . .
I found a good spot in the park and put a white blanket on the grass and sat down and waited for Y/n...

As I waited for her, my eyes focused on someone sitting on the small wooden bench near the water.
His shape seemed quite familiar.
Oh, it's Huening Kai....
Huening Kai was sitting at the bench looking down at the water.
He then looked from side to side and I could tell he is actually crying a bit.
I wonder what's wrong? He's been acting funny lately.
Huening Kai was also holding his phone and he would look at it, then look around as if he was expecting someone.
Suddenly I saw Geonil coming to Kai, so Kai quickly wiped his tears away.
Geonil sat at the bench with Kai and started speaking to him, but Kai didn't make eye contact with Geonil. Instead, he kept his head down and only nodded.
He was too far to lip read but who am I to eavesdrop!
Then suddenly Huening Kai seemed confused or something and looked at Geonil. My eyes then widened in shock when Geonil leaned his head on Huening Kai's shoulder and took his hand, making Huening Kai have a slight panic or something.
