Being young as Tretcher once was can lead you astray, being in pre school can help that to a point unless the literature and writing becomes something you can't do well. There's always the rusty metal bike on the play yard would be one of Tretchers better experiences as a kid, when nobody cared or wanted to touch better yet use it he did and one day it might have been his second try at it, the wheels where actual metal as was the rest of the bike not really meant to be ridden. However because of how he was growing up it seemed normal to attach to this metal bike, so this time he hopped on it and went around the yard only he never stopped riding it. The bell had gone off kids where back in class and he just kept pedaling until the then teacher called his name and he slowly stopped the bike and went back into class. It was short lived because they soon took the bikes the metal bikes and replaced them with something much safer they where dangerous for many reasons.

Something in particular or specific something had happened where the teacher asked the kids to turn to a certain page in a book, she wanted them to open to. He turned to the wrong page for some reason his focus wouldn't allow him to easily shuffle to the exact page the teacher had asked him to, and right there it made him feel inferior but he didn't understand what it was at that age and normal kids will often make it worse. This can begin a feeling of hopelessness in a way you start to not feel well and that can be detrimental to a child just starting out as can adult games" he didn't realize he liked the environment. And often you see things or do things that don't seem to mean anything like killing time, that's what homework felt like if Tretcher ever did any school would become a bad thing because you have to not because you're getting anything out of it and it wouldn't be until high-school at the end that he would ever do work that felt meaningful not only to him but his teacher who had seen him through the years of teens go from bad to good, even enough she wanted him to speak at graduation which ended up being on stage which was a surprise to him as it was an adult school. And at that time there was alot going on but a friend had suggested to try doing outdoor activities and so he gave him a surfboard and that would lead him to renting and buying and everything that comes with it. To learn something like that takes its own path it takes time and it gave him an outlet graduating but it actually had started years earlier in that he went from this high school to this high school to this program, and to graduate one of the things was writing like a biography which Tretcher did in The History of Surfing he got an A+ and graduated so that was a far cry from pre school metal bike era.

There was alot of time in between not really doing great, that was something Tretcher delt with alot was the blues how to shake the blues. He had this alot one thing was his mom liked dance and Tretcher would often go with her to dance but didn't think anything of it it was a girl thing but he went. Eventually realized he wasn't a dancer, woman tend to be better at that still a fun place to go especially growing up. To be in a semi aggressive sport after a major accident as a child isn't so fun you appreciate lighter sports swimming, volleyball, chess but when you're in the moment you tend to not realize these things, maybe not skateboarding you could hit your head he already had balance issues so endorphins became super powerful because at idle he was almost worthless.
