Moscow, Russia

6 years before the end of the war

When I accidentally activated a mine that someone had left in the tunnel that would take us far from Moscow, only Luna's superhuman reaction managed to save me. If it had not been for how quickly she separated me and protected me with her body, I would not be alive. But just when we were recovering from the explosion, in the tunnels around we began to hear howls of more dragons everywhere. We were surrounded, so in a panic attack, we both ran as fast as we could through one of the tunnels from which less noise was heard because we thought that maybe there would be fewer dragons out there. Although I would have liked to keep up with Luna, it was me because there was no way that a simple human could match the physical ability that that girl had, because to try to move faster she had to carry me while she ran, to try to lose our persecutors.

But despite our efforts using the tunnel that we thought had fewer dragons, sooner rather than later we ran into a group of dragons. Despite how quickly Luna killed them it was not enough because behind us even more dragons began to appear. Although I had the map in hand, the place had not been explored enough, so I did not know where we were, or where the roads we had been taking led to. But there came a time that while I was looking for the way out and Luna was keeping the dragons at bay, I found myself with a door that led to a fairly small corridor, enough for two people to pass through, but not for most dragons who attacked us. When I returned to tell Luna about our escape route she was still keeping the dragons at bay, she was a little tired but everything was fine.

But just when we were about to leave, a huge dragon came out of the shadows, completely black in color, it was so imposing that when it walked it crushed some of the smaller dragons, without caring the least, and when it was close to us it stopped and I begin to speak. He asks Luna why she rebelled against her own species to her siblings, her parents, her family, and if that had something to do with me. Both I and Luna were completely scared because the black dragon was speaking in Spanish, something completely out of place, because the army only spoke English and the locals spoke Russian, Only me who came from America and Luna whom I taught to speak we were the only ones who knew Spanish. That a dragon that could speak and know that language was not normal. Luna recovered first and she replied strongly that I was her only family that she had ever had and that she is grateful that it was so because she had received love, something that her species did not know, because she, being also a dragon, knows how brutal they can be with her own species and how she was destined to be just food for another dragon. The huge black dragon moved his head back a little and gave a foot so hard to the ground in disgust that it made the place shake a little.

But Luna did not show the slightest sign of fear, backing up her words, and wanting to torment the black dragon, even more, she continued speaking. She turned to see me for a moment and went back to the black dragon to tell him that she loved me and that she planned to create her own family with me, and that we would travel all over the world completely free of dragons. The great black dragon now really annoyed released a huge roar and shout of how it was a disgrace for the dragons that she was with the humans and how she would receive a corresponding punishment, the destruction of her core. At that time I did not understand what they were referring to, but later I understood that this was really the worst punishment that a dragon could face. While the two of them were talking, a dragon came out of a hole in the ground and began to attack me, I managed to defend myself but I could not get rid of it.

The situation in which we found ourselves was terrible because we were in a tunnel surrounded by the roads by dragons and there was one even bigger and more terrifying than the rest that was furious to hear what Luna had told him. I found myself losing a fight against a single dragon and she tried to keep the rest away from me. It was only a matter of time before they finished with us, because no matter how many Luna killed, those bastards kept appearing. But then the dragon girl decided to use the last trick of hers that she had. From her back sprouted two azure-colored wings, which her body lacked before that, and she pounced on me, hugged my waist, and began to fly through the tunnel. In a majestic way, she managed to maneuver through the dark tunnel full of dragons and obstacles, to achieve both quickly and safely reach the small passageway that we could use to reduce the number of beasts that followed us.
