"OMG!! Pankhu ,, you did an amazing job.. congrats yaar I am so happy for you" Eklavya said hugging his bestfriend who was standing in front of him showing him her promotion letter
"Ekii you know what.. this is insane ,, i am still can't imagine this" she replied back as she was head over hells because of this good news
"Oh my cutie.. i knew it.. you were working so hard for this... you totally deserve this bro"
"Thankss yaa.. all because of you only, thanks for always having my back.."
This day was marked as one of the happiest day of pankti's life as today finally after working 2 years as a writer , she was now promoted as a section editor of the news office.. she being an orphan worked hard for this day.. she still aims to become the managing editor but still this first step was way more important for her.. and in all this the biggest support of her was her bestfriend.. her best buddy Ekii AKA Eklavya shah .. the well known piano artist of one of the most famous music band "THE HOPESAYS" of the city
Pankti grown up in an orphanage which was owned by eklavya's parents and that's how they both became bestfriends, Eklavya always treated her as his own family member and has always helped her to be able to stand on her own feet, being independent and fulfil her dream of becoming a well known journalist .. pankti as of now lives in an small apartment she got with the money she saved from her scholarships all over her life as ekii's parents never let her pay for her fees..
As pankti got her promotion today, She is giving a treat to eklavya in both of their favorite restaurant
"Ekii.. i'll kill you,, when are you coming to pick me up, we are getting late " she glared at her bestfriend through th evideao call as he was coming to pick her up from her house
"Pankti.. meri maa, i almost reached there.. come down " he replied chuckling a bit
"Fine" she hung up the call and moved out locking the main entrance and taking up the lift to go down..as she came out of the building she saw eklavya's car parked outside and him leaning on the it in a dashing attire
"Yo bro.. looking hot" she passed the compliment while moving towards him
"Thanks ya.. i wish i could same the same " he chuckled
"Youuu" she fake slapped his shoulder
"Sorry sorry.. i was joking, you're looking super cute.. and here take this" he said forwarding a flower bouquet
"Flowersss.. wow, thankyouu ekii yaar, you're the best i love you bro" her eyes shinned looking at the flowers because she loved flowers since the very young age as they gave her a feeling of belonging and not being alone in this world
"Now shall we go miss section editor " he opened the gate and gestured her to get in
They both left from there for the restaurant and talked and laughed their hearts out during the whole journey
Once they reached the place.. they both went in and settled at their booked table
"So ma'am what will you like to have today" eklavya asked her imitating a servant working under a queen
"What's all about this princess treatment today?" she asked with a chuckle
"Umm.. i guess you deserve this princess treatment for giving me this happiest news today" he said proudly
"Ekii yaar, you know what thanks alot fpr being with me forever, all this has become possible only because of you okay.. i can't even imagine what would have i done without you" she said and while talking her heart out tears started making her way through her eyes
"Aww bacchaa, why are you crying yaar.. come here" he stood up and engulfed her in a hug and patted her back and made her sit again before getting back to his seat
"I am always with you and you know that right?" he asked and she just hummed
"So let's not cry.. its a celebration time okay.. let's order your favorite food now
They both enjoyed their dinner ending with a ice cream and making these good memories.. the bond between both of them was as pure as water.. they both were pure bestfriends since the starting and never ever let any misunderstanding come in between them.
"Let's go now?" pankti said standing up from her seat and both of them started moving towards the exit after she paid the bill
When they're moving towards the exit , someone grabs their attention from back
"Hello miss!! " someone called her from behind ...both of them turned back to look at the source of this cold voice and saw a man in his twenties standing their with another man of almost the same age..
Pankti saw him coming towards her and that's when "o re piya" started playing in the background making them stuck in the moment..when the man finally came near them they looked at the source of the sudden music and realised it was played by an customer who just planned a dreamy proposal for her girlfriend there
They again looked towards each other and eklavya's voice broke their eye contact
"Yess? do we know you" he asked him as he was a bit possesive of her friend (only as a friend)
"Yeah.. actually this ma'am.." he looked towards pankti "You just forgot your mobile on that table i guess.. is this yours?" he said showing her the phone
"Ohh.. Damn, thankyou so much,, i didn't realized.. anyways thanks alot yaa" she thanked him and took her phone back
"No worries" the man replied her back
"And sorry.. i didn't know you guyss.. i just wanted to help" he said looking at eklavya
"I am sorry i was just being concerned for her.. anyways thanks " eki replied back
"Good day you guyss!!" he said and left from there in a hurry
"Kuch bhi keh baaki.. bollywood type scene tha nahi?? they moment you looked at him and the music played" eklavya said teasingly
"Are you mad or what?" she said faking anger
ON THE OTHER SIDE
"Mahir bro, what was that? "
"Nothing , the previous one who was siting at this table left her phone here so i just gave that back"
"Umm o-k-a-y"
"Adi stop it, we're here for something important okay, so now let's focus on that otherwise we can lost the clue "
"Ah sorry my bad.. let's meet with the manager and explain to him about our task" Adi (mahir's friend ) said
