Fear struck through her bones as she held the tool to escape her pain,

heavy as stones.

For she was told that she would bleed,

although this kind of hurting was from another breed.

Another thing did make her doubt,

it were the words that came out of a good friend's mouth.

Though her friend could not compete,

for there was nothing that hatred could not beat.

Fighting thoughts went trough her head,

while the cold metal moved over her skin with a slow tread.

While pain itself was over the surface snowing,

she felt the red liquid flowing.

All she thought about were the hurtfull words she had heard for they are the ones that stay,

while those of her friend just faded away.

He had failed to keep her safe,

because pain went over her like a wave.

When she stopped slicing through her veins,

so did the occurring shift of pains.

Again, a dark feeling surrounded her like a cape,

because for these stones was no escape.

Already she did regret what she had been doing,

inside her anger was brewing.

She hated herself for making her bleed,

for she thought of it as an atrocious deed.

When sadness hurt her to the bone,

she cried to it to leave her alone.

Drops of blood fell on the floor

as the darkness surrounded her core.
