Chapter 4: he cant be the spark

"Hey mun there you are" jeok bong said half awake

"I thought you went missing, I went to check on you and you weren't there" he yawns

"But your here with hana, what are you guys doing" he says as he walks up to the counter sitting down

Mun walked to where jeok bong was sitting and grabbed his shoulder

"Hana was making me some tea but I'm not thirsty anymore so you can enjoy it with her" mun replies walking out of the kitchen hurt that the girl he likes might not like him and at this point he'll never know.

Hana just stood there and poured the tea for jeok bong

"Here you have it, I'm not thirsty anymore either" she says while walking to her room

"But, I never said I wanted tea" jeok bong turned around but realised no one was there so he drank it anyways and went back to bed

Hana laid in her bed once again but she still wasn't content everything just got worse, why'd mun have to say that to her she thought it was hard enough to push down her feelings for him and just see him as a friend but all of her feelings were coming back up and she was scared, she never wanted to be vulnerable especially towards someone else. But there was something about mun that made her feel safe. She shook her head and forced herself to go sleep so she could escape from her emotions for just a few hours.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

muns alarm went off but he just wanted to stay in bed he didn't feel like training or catching evil spirits today but he knew he'd have to get up eventually, he went to check the time and it read 10:30.

"WHAT" mun shouted making jeok bong run into the room

"Mun are you ok" jeok bong says from the door

"No I mean yes I- why didn't you wake me up" mun said a bit annoyed

"Well I was going to but ms chu said to let you rest for a bit longer since you just came back" jeok bong explains Jeok bong started to look at the ground

Mun didn't know what to say instead he just nods

"Oh ok, I'll be there for lunch in a sec" mun then says making jeok bong nod and return to the kitchen

He gets changed and puts his iconic black tracksuit on ready to start the day

As he was walking towards the dinner table he noticed that hana wasn't there, but he just brushed it off she was probably gonna come to eat lunch in a bit

Ms chu told mun to sit down as she plated up all the dishes

"So muna aren't you happy I've made all your favourites" ms chu smiled at him making him smile back

"Yes ms chu, I've got say I've missed your cooking a lot" he says still smiling at her

Ms chu then tells jeokbong to go call mr choi and motak, but she doesn't tell him to call hana

Mun was gonna ask where she was but his stomach started grumbling, he never wants to wake up late again he thought. normally he could go without lunch but today was different.

"Ms chu can I eat, I mean we should wait for jeok bong and the others but I'm so hungry" mun pleaded

"Of course my son eat as much as you want you don't have to wait on them they've had breakfast" ms chu replies

And with that mun dug in

"Oh muna your awake" motak says coming into the room making ms chu and mun look at him

Chairman choi laughs at the sight of mun as he face was full of food

Everyone sits down and digs in, mun tried to carry on eating but he had to know where hana was, did they even know, she could be in trouble or need help but I doubt it he thought to himself

"Hey wheres hana" mun finally says finally getting the courage to speak up

Motak and ms chu look at each other like they're trying to come up with a lie but jeok bong beats them to it but instead telling the truth

"Oh she's gone to do hwis piano place" jeok bong says still fixated onto his food

Ms chu smacks his arm which makes him look up, realising what he just said he gives ms chu an apologetic look

Mun couldn't believe what he heard, she went to go spend the morning with do hwi after he practically told her his feelings not even a few hours ago. Mun wasn't the jealous type but this felt different, why did she have to go spend the morining with do hwi her first love.

Mun didn't know what to say he was still trying to process what jeokbong just said when he didn't say something motak decided to break the silence Awkwardly laughing

"Mun don't listen to jeok bong, you know how he says silly things all the time, hana probably went to get some groceries" motak said trying to change the subject but it was too late

Mun couldn't eat properly he suddenly felt sick, how can a guy like do hwi grab hanas attention. Like he's not ugly but he's just so plain, she needs a spark in her life. And it definitely isn't him it can't be he thought slamming his hands on the table getting up, heads to the training area.

Jeok bong was about to get up to go after mun but motak stops him

"I wonder what his problem is" motak says then carries on eating his food

"Jeok bong you shouldn't have said that hana told us not to tell mun where she was going remember" ms chu says looking at jeokbong

Jeok bong just hung his head low

"I'm sorry I forgot" he replies

"I wonder why hana didn't want us to tell mun where she was going" motak says eating his food

"Probably because he would've acted like that" chairman Choi points to the training area

They all nod and continue to eat their food.
