CHAPTER 1

Another day, another boring life spam to waste, feeling like I'm in a digital world. It's like restarting all over again at the spawn point every day. I sighed and reluctantly got out of my comfortable bed, wishing I could sleep on it all day. I zombie-walked into the bathroom, lazily searching for my toothbrush.

Feeling around the counters with one eye half-open, I finally found my toothbrush and groaned in frustration. But then I quickly slipped back into my groggy state and scratched my head before embarking on another mission to find my toothpaste.

"Fuck, bro, I don't have all day," I muttered, but then I stopped abruptly as I felt my toothpaste. I sighed and chuckled to myself. Wetting my toothbrush, I applied the toothpaste, but of course, I had to wipe off some of it because it tasted nasty. What?! Can't blame me.

Just then, my mom called from downstairs, "JUSTIN!! YOU'RE 2 MINS LATE!" She yelled, and I jumped. What?! 2 minutes late already, what the fuck!! I quickly spat out and gargled before rushing to my bed to grab my headphones, charger, and computer. Then I leaped out of bed and headed to my closet to grab some clothes. Just great, rushing on the first day. Frustrating, I thought to myself.

Picking some decent but baggy clothes, I quickly glanced in the mirror before heading to the bathroom to fix my messy hair. Jesus, I gotta cut that soon. Once again, my mom called out, "JUSTIN, HURRY UP!!" Now I was even more stressed, like, come on, can't you see what I'm doing, woman? I grabbed my bag and dashed down the hall, grabbing a snack from the cabinet.

"Come on!" she said, and I groaned. We then hopped into her car and drove to my soon-to-be school. Arriving there already made me gasp in disbelief. The school was massive! It had a whole garden and a big fountain in the middle. Typical teens were laughing and running around, play fighting. As I observed all this, I couldn't help but feel disgusted. "Gosh, why is everyone so joyful?! School drains your dam energy," I complained, and my mom playfully hit me on the chest.

"What?! Is it not true," I exclaimed, and she looked at me and rolled her eyes. "Justin! We just got here. Plus, I'm sure you'll make plenty of friends," she said, which made me feel nauseous. "You better be joking," I replied, rolling my eyes and stepping out of the car. She followed me, and we both walked into the large school, heading towards the dramatically spacious principal's office.

As we walked in, we were greeted by these creepy, jeepers keepers looking smiles, at least in my opinion. My mom smiled back, and I swear I was about to puke. I guess my mom noticed because she nudged me in the shoulder. I gave her an attitude look before we both sat down in front of the plain brown desk.

Then this old, surprisingly tall dude walked in with a blue suit. I mean, if you're gonna be a principal, at least wear a cooler color. He sat in front of us and rummaged through his drawer, picking up a name tag that said Mrs. John.

"Good morning! I'll just talk about the rules here and print your son's schedule. Ready to begin?" he said, and I was already exhausted. Thanks for the free bedtime story, I guess. After 20 minutes, he finally explained the same old rules like any other school. Then he handed me a paper with my schedule. And Jesus it was confusing.

Then this blonde woman walked in with a tall, black-haired, and surprisingly well-dressed guy. "Ah, yes. Justin, this will be your student. He'll show you around and take you to all your classes," Mrs. John said, standing up and patting the guy on the back. "Hey," he greeted, sounding super pumped, which only annoyed me more, knowing I'd be stuck with him. "I'm Sebastian. Just call me Seb," he said, coming up to me and extending his hand. Is he for real right now?

I glanced at my mom, and she made a face, telling me to shake his hand and go along with it. I gave her the "OMG" look, then turned my attention back to him, slowly extending my hand and shaking his. But once he had a grip on my hand, he started shaking it like crazy. What's up with this kid bro?!

"Alright, you guys can go now," Mrs. John said, and I swear my heart skipped a beat. Go now?! No way! I don't wanna be stuck with this dude. I looked at my mom, and she just smirked at me, shrugging cluelessly. Oh my god, I'm gonna lose it. Next thing I know, I'm walking down the halls with this guy, acting like he needs to explain everything. Like, seriously, I know what stairs are.

Flipping my hair, I let out a sigh as we kept walking, feeling like we've been going on forever in this massive school. Then he suddenly stopped in front of a classroom. And that's when I knew it was mine. I gulped and widened my eyes at how spacious it looked inside. And to think I was only 2 minutes late. Then Seb turned to me and said, "Looks like we have the same class." I choked on air.

"Oh my god, give me a break," I muttered under my breath. He turned to me with that innocent yet annoying look and asked, "What was that?" I replied with a blank expression, "Nothing." I walked into the classroom, and to my surprise, he didn't stand next to me as I thought. Instead, he went to sit down, leaving me up here in front of everyone. Just great.

I was so close to flipping him off when suddenly I heard a clap. I turned and saw this tall, elegant lady with brown hair. I figured she must be my teacher. "Good morning and welcome! You're Justin, right?" she asked, as if it wasn't obvious enough. Like, seriously, how many new students does she have? "Yeah, that's me," I said, forcing a fake smile.

She nodded and turned to the class, saying, "Well, class, this is Justin, our new student!" Ugh, I wanted to gag. Then she added, "You can go ahead and take a seat wherever you like." And just like that, she turned back to her computer. Leaving me there to stand awkwardly in-front of the class, again great.

As I awkwardly walked past the desks, I could feel eyes on me from all sides of the room, peering into my soul. Then this guy with the biggest smile waved at me, signaling for me to sit with him. With nothing else to do, I reluctantly took a seat next to him, doing my best to ignore him.
But of course, he had to start talking to me. "Hey! Nice to meet you, I'm Kane," he said, and I slowly turned my head towards him. He had this annoying smile on his face, waiting for a response that I wasn't going to give. I just nodded and went back to listening to the teacher.

Can this day get any worse.
