My mother always told me stories about my father, about how heroic he'd been... She'd always told me that he had gone above and beyond for her, putting himself in danger to save her. She spoke of a horrible man. A man driven by power, wealth and control. It almost didn't seem real. I loved to hear her tell me the story... The story of my parents' love.

"Tell me the story again, momma!" the little girl exclaimed, sitting between her mother's legs as the hairbrush ran through her long, jet-black hair.
"Are you sure, sweetheart?" the woman asked, her voice soft and silky as she spoke "you've heard it just about five times this week."
The little girl gave a curt nod, smiling brightly and glancing up at her mother.
"I'm sure, momma." She whispered and leaned into the soft touch of her mother's hands and the brush.
"One day, a very strong love between two strong people, was challenged by another," she began. "Victoria had been taken from her love, Mateo..." The woman said softly, chuckling when the small girl audibly squealed.
"That's you and daddy, momma!" The small girl squeaked, a bright smile on her tanned complexion, her green eyes sparkling with admiration as she looked up at her mother, Victoria.

My mother always showed me unconditional love, she was always there when I needed her, without fail. I admired her, her beauty and grace... The way her blue eyes sparkled when she looked at me. Or the way she'd always braid my hair like mine. She loved and cherished me, and gave me everything I could ever ask for in life....
My dad, was pretty much the same when he was around, that wasn't very often though, he was always off with my Grandpa, tracking the man that hurt him and my mum. I know that my momma got lonely when he wasn't around, and she always seemed more on edge, nervous as such. I guess I can't blame her, after what happened to her in her story...
