A dango, Espio muses, is truly among the sweetest of snacks one can be provided with.

The urge to eat a skewer had struck him most randomly, as it sometimes does. He'd been preoccupied with writing down some information about a case when suddenly his stomach had rumbled and he'd realised he hadn't eaten in a while, and a sudden craving had entrapped him in its grasp. Normally such wayward desires were shrugged off most quickly, but things with their case had been going smoothly enough, and thus Espio had found himself giving in soon enough. A quick trip to the kitchen and some easy work at the counterspace had netted him his coveted snack: five balls on it, in true decadent fashion.

With a happy hum the chameleon bites right into the first one on the skewer, and it's just as tasty and flavourful as always.

Behind him the door to the hallway opens, the lack of footsteps and buzzing clearly indicating who is coming in. "Hey, Es!" Silver chirps. "I'm back!"

"Momiji," Espio warmly greets him back... somewhat muffled, with how slowly he's nibbling on his first piece of the dango skewer. With his mouth full, saying more than that would be impolite, though luckily Silver needs little encouragement to chat happily about his experiences of the day.

"Vector and Charmy are still over at Amy's, but I wanted to come home," his beloved takes to chattering as expected- though, nary a second later he flops right on top of Espio's crest, uncaring for the grunt that follows at that roughhousing and the pained crick of Espio's neck. "Ooohh, you made dango! That's what I smelled in the hallway!"

Swallowing down the first orb Espio nods, difficult as that is with the full weight of his beloved basically half-balancing right on top of his head. "So I did," he agrees, giving Silver a clumsy pet over what turns out to be his arm as he tries to rear his hand upwards. "I found myself craving some."

"Cravings tell you that you should indeed go eat what you are craving," follows at that, very sagely and making an amused chuckle slip past Espio's lips. He can tell what Silver is craving now, the other swaying his limbs and letting wild sparks of cyan flare up as he tries to scoot across Espio's head towards the skewer...

Grin only growing Espio tips his head sideways, and the most adorable "Oof!" follows as Silver topples right off and ends up face-first into the pillows with his legs all scrunched up against the couch's back.

"Careful now, tenshi. You'll hit your head if you don't watch out," the chameleon chides teasingly, leaning the other way as to not be struck by a wildly-flaying foot.

"I'm always careful." Making some sort of front-flip Silver crashes into the couch in full, the springs inside creaking and complaining at all the flailing it's getting subjected to. Espio can't find it in himself to be mad about it, with his delicious dango in hand and his beloved right there beside him. "I hope you enjoy," the hedgehog adds, hungry golden eyes burning into the skewer and his nose twitching a mile a minute.

Moving the skewer to his other hand, farthest away from Silver, Espio uses the first to give the hedgehog a caress over his head. "Oh, I am certain I will," he agrees... and that is that, the second ball from the skewer bitten off and disappearing right into his mouth.

The way Silver narrows his eyes at him makes it very hard to keep a straight face.

"That's good," his beloved hums back all the same, scooting forward somewhat until his back quills lay draped over Espio's lap and his cheek can press right into the chameleon's belly. And Espio knows what he is up to, his beloved is far too predictable, and yet he can only find the entire situation highly amusing...
