Slinky's Paramour

Fable

The marriage of Slinky and Liozardo happened over a year ago. However, Slinky felt that something was missing in their marriage.

Slinky loves Liozardo a little bit too much. However, recently, she realized that they lacked excitement and quality time for each other and happiness became a rare event for them, and felt that she was falling out of love rapidly. Unlike when it's still the first few months of their marriage where it is very evident how in love and happy they were that the people who saw them together became infected with their loving smiles.

'Could it be because I can't bear his baby?' She thought.

After all, she's a snake while on the other hand, Liozardo is a snail-fin lizard. You also might be wondering why she didn't marry a snake instead. So as for the reason, she doesn't like to be wed to the same specie as her. She said that it would not be so unique if she did so.

Slinky is not happy. Her imagination of a happy marriage with her dream guy was all shattered into pieces. He is her standard. The epitome of beauty and the right lizard for her. But it all became a disappointing memory of her now.

She is disappointed. The marriage she thought was fruitful and joyful was so boring and lonely.

Liozardo is a workaholic lizard. He always goes out on his way to work not having any time for his wife.

'Should I go and find another lizard to accompany me?'

She pondered for a while and decided to seek another lizard's company to test if she could or couldn't be happy with another. And if she can, then it's her husband lizard's fault.

She goes out in the neighborhood but she couldn't find any suitable lizard at all. Night came and she was all tired. She saw a bench and decided to sit there for a second, just to take a breather.

She closed her eyes but accidentally fell asleep.

It was already the wee hours in the morning when she felt that someone was shaking her and urging her to wake up.

Slinky slowly opened her eyes. And what welcomed her sight was the dazzling handsome face of a lizard. She felt that all the movements in the background were impeded and slow. And the background itself was blurry. And all she could see was the stunning face of a lizard. It's like sparks are dancing in the area and all she can hear is a romantic song playing in the background with her beating heart as a drum.

Being stared at by a very beautiful female snake, the lizard also fell in love at first sight.

Their heart's beating resonated with the melody and it became an immaculate piece.

They decided to start dating and live with each other.

Slinky's not worried about letting her new lizard lover whose name is "Tokay Gecko" stay in her and Liozardo's house. Since the snake's husband was not always home she had the freedom to do whatever she wanted to do in the house.

Whenever her husband comes home she tells Tokay Gecko to hide under the bed. And she always made an edgy unconscious sound "shh". As if to shut all the unnecessary sounds Tokay Gecko would make in advance.

That is always a scenario whenever Liozardo comes home. While that was going on and on, he gradually got suspicious of his wife. He noticed that his wife always turned off the light. And when he comes home from work once a month, if he doesn't turn on the lights then there really would be no light that can reach his eyes. As in, no light source at all.

He ruminated it for a while and came up with a probable reason a while later.

"Could it be that she found another lizard? And that she found another lizard's company much more enjoyable than mine?"
