I spend my first three periods connecting with some potential new friends, sunoo, hanni, hyein, haerin and danielle. I wouldn't count minji since we became friends while walking to school. Since I had my last period before lunch with hyein and haerin they offered to walk me to the cafeteria.

"How many people do you sit with at lunch" I ask as we stop to buy some drinks from the vending machine. "Uh, I think twelve" hyein says as she counts with her fingers, "twelve??" I asked shocked by there many friends, "yeah" Haerin shrugs as if it's nothing. "Let's go!" Hyein says as she grabs the strawberry milk she bought.

"you want something?" She asks me while looking at the vending machine. "No, I'm good" I say. "Okay let's go then, minji unnies gonna get mad at us" haerin says as she giggles at the thought of minji's angry face.

We speed walk towards the cafeteria and finally make it after about 2 minute of non stop walking. "We're here!!" hyein announcing to her group of friends as she runs towards the table and sits down. "This is our new friend, aeri!!" Hyein says enthusiastically while faking an applause. "Hello!" I say politely as I take a seat next to Hanni and another unknown boy I don't know the name of. "hello!" Everyone says infusion, everyone here is so nice.

"I'm Jake!"
"I'm Heeseung!"
"You already know me, Sunoo!"
"Sunghoon woohoo!"
"Niki!"
"Jay Jay"
"Jungwon." The last boy says unenthusiastic, must not like me.

"Don't worry about him, he's just shy" the boy next to me, sunghoon says while pointing at this jungwon guy.

"Hm okay" I hum as I bring out the kimbap my mom packed for me. "I brought extra for my friends, so you guys can share this bag of kimbap" I say as I pull out another box of kimbap just for them.

"Really!"
"I love kimbap!"

everyone munches it all except for this jungwon guy, I don't know how to explain it, but he's intriguing. He feels the energy of me looking at him and pulls his head up from zoning out. I try to give him a welcoming smile and I can see him try that too, yeah, hes just shy.

"You can have some too" I say while looking at him, "I can?" He asks surprised. "Why wouldn't you?" I ask laughing, I can see his smile as he grabs a kimbap from the bag, cute, nope nuh uh, you are not doing that kwae aeri, did you forget about the fucking curse?

The group of students talk about various topics from grades, to what animal they would reincarnated into, and I can see jungwon slowly warming up to me.

"I would totally be a frog!" Haerin says proudly
"But you look like a cat!" Jake says countering
"But jungwon would be a cat!" Haerin says
"There can be two cats!" Hanni says

" no there can-"

Haerin sentence was cut off by the sound of the bell.

"Welp I'm heading to class, you guys should too" heeseung says as he grabs his bag and heads towards the back door. "aeri, you have art now right?" Danielle asks knowing that I showed her my schedule earlier. "Yeah" I say wondering what she's gonna say. "You have that with jungwon and Sunghoon, guys, walk her there" she says asking sunghoon and jungwon. "Kay " sunghoon says as he motions me to follow him.

"So, aeri, how are you liking the school?" Sunghoon ask in attempt to make small talk. "Good, way better than my other school." I say while chuckling remembering how horrible my old school was. "Why'd you move schools?" Jungwon asks curiously. "It's complicated, ex boyfriend casted a spell on me which makes me unable to fall in love " I say while kicking some wrappers I found on the ground. "Haina?" Sunghoon asks surprised, "mhm" I hummed. "Im sorry" jungwon says feeling bad. "It's not your fault" I say .

"We're here!"sunghoon says trying to lighten the mood. "That's our teacher, Mr. Han." Jungwon whispers in my ear. I see the teacher motioning for me to come up to the front and introduce myself.

"Hello I am aeri, I hope you all treat me with kindness" I say while bowing. I can see a smile on everyone's faces, knowing I did good. I give everyone I genuine smile as I go to sit down with a girl I don't know the name of, since sunghoon and jungwon are sitting together.

"Hi, I'm sullyoon!" She says while turning around to look at me, "nice to meet you sullyoon, your so pretty!" I compliment. I can see a blush creeping up on her cheeks. "Thank you! Your so pretty too!" She says flustered.

"Okay class, you will be doing a presentation on a artist of your choice, choose a partner!" I look at sullyoon but notice she's already looking at a girl across the room. I feel a tap on my shoulder and I turn around. "Wanna be partners?" Jungwon says shyly, "sure!" I say happily.

"Since we still have 30 minutes of the period left, you may start now!" The teacher yells in order for all the students to hear. "This is worth 30% of your grade!"

"Well we should get started, who should we do?" I ask thinking about all of the options we have.

"Leonardo de Vinci?" He suggests
"Mhm, let's do him"

I grab my laptop from out of my bag and search up his name in a new tab. "What details should we add?" I ask.

"I think we should add.."

Time skip

"Okay we should start the actual slideshow" I say after we name the details we should add on a paper. "Yeah, but we should do it at home because the bells about to ring-" just as he finished his sentence, the bell ringed, right on time.

We both get up and walk towards the door. "What class you got next?" I ask looking at him wondering, "gym, you?" "Oh I have science, see ya won" I say mentally cringing at the nickname.

"See ya ri" he responds with a nickname as well.

For some odd reason, my heart jumped when I heard him call me that, why?
