Noralen was a person who knew how life was. Her parents were murdered when she was 6, and she spent the next couple of years in an orphanage.
The orphanage was awful, it was poor-looking, dirty, and filled with many kids who were almost the same age as Noralen, it was probably one of the worst places a child could grow up in as it was poorly maintained and surely the gluttonous owners didn't have any experience in raising a child properly, teaching them manners and taking care of them so obviously they couldn't fulfill a child's needs because of how greedy and closed minded they were, they only owned an orphanage because of the riches they got from the government, yet they didn't want to invest them into it, they kept the money for themselves, gambling and satisfying their own needs instead of satisfying the children's needs properly. Because of that, the children were practically fighting for food, each acting like a wild animal to make their bellies at least half full. The youngest ones were often left to themselves, the stronger ones forming groups.
A hard life it was. For a six-year-old Noralen, it was a giant shock. Sure, her parents weren't rich-rich, but they weren't that poor either.
It could be said that young Noralen got used to the situation rather quickly. A smart girl she was, using her quirk to ruin friendships for her own gain, she quickly toughed up. She could calculate people's reactions and then use them for her income.
After a couple of years, when she was 13, she realized she wanted to live on her own. She hated the orphanage with all her heart. Sure, after she showed other kids what she was made out of she became more respected and didn't have to fight to survive, but she still hated that place. She learned what she could when she was there, but it was time to stretch her wings.
The night of the escape was her 14th birthday. The moon shone brightly as if watching closely how her escape would go. Stress was building up in her stomach, she became nervous, almost panicking at any sound. The dark shabby room filled with children was a sight she never wished to see again. And she ran away, never to be sighted again in the orphanage.
Living on the streets was hard. If she had food in the orphanage, she most certainly didn't have any now. But she knew how to earn money, and that's how the information bank Mystico was created. With her quirk, finding information was almost jokingly easy. Mystico quickly became popular, her clients varied from villains and criminals to vigilantes. Noralen became someone known in the alley business. She had money, she didn't need anything else. She didn't need more people. She was alone and that's how she wanted it to be.
[Hmmmm. Hope I didn't go overboard with this.]
