Location: Capital of Lunaria, Dracotine palace
Vallencios
Xavier Dracotine stood in the throne room of his castle waiting for his father. King Caspian of the Dracotine had requested his son to join him for a meeting of important matters.
He ran his fingers through his golden white colored hair with impatience. Xavier had sword practice with his cousin, Lennox later and wanted to get this meeting over with. He had to fight the desire to blow off the kings summons altogether, but knew better than to do something so disrespectful.
Elara, Xavier's younger sister, walked into the throne room admiring the beautiful golden bracelet she just bought. Xavier fought the urge to snort, subtly rolling his eyes. His little sister had the tendency to be snooty and full of herself.
Elara looked up and her lime green eyes met her brothers aquamarine colored ones. Elara smirked, knowing full well her brother would rather be showing off his sword skills and flirting with girls, then attending important meetings with their father. Xavier turned to look up at the majestic golden throne that his father always sat upon.
Xavier sighed as he walked up to the throne and sat down upon it, observing the room from there. The room was an intimidating silver color that glowed with a luminescent dark light from the sun coming through the windows, like the dark dragon stone crystals that grew in the palace in gardens.
Someday, Xavier would sit upon this throne again, but the room would be full of Dracotine dressed in beautiful colors celebrating his coronation as king.
"Am I ever truly going to be ready to be king?" He found himself wondering out loud, startling both him, and his sister whose eyes widened as she slowly turned her head to look at him.
Elara approached her big brother, brushing a lock of white hair over her shoulder. "Xav, if your going to be a good king, you need to grow up and quit being a spoiled and arrogant know it all. Be more like father, calm and collected. I mean you are a prince and should act like one." She replied casually with a snooty tone.
"And you should behave more like the kind and sweet princess father always asks you to be." Xavier retorted.
Elara shot Xavier a death glare and turned away from her brother, making her way towards the big double doors. Xavier shook his head and got off the throne before to approach a huge family portrait painted five years ago. It was of his family just before his mother was killed by a human.
He sighed heavily, his father looked so regal in the portrait with his golden robes and delicate silver crown.
Xavier's mother, the late queen, had been the beauty of her day with her beautiful pearl colored hair and aquamarine colored eyes, with pale white skin that could turn to dark, cobalt blue scales.
Xavier definitely had his mother's eyes and scale color, where as he received his father's golden white hair.
Elara had received her mother's pearl colored hair but had her father's lime green eyes and sky blue scales.
Xavier looked down at his scruffy black tunic and dark combat training pants and scuffed boots. He looked nothing like his father, he was nothing like his father. Regal, calm, and relaxed. King Caspian always said Xavier had his mother's wild and untamed spirit.
He shook his head to rid himself of the memories and walked away from the painting, by this time, King Caspian had suddenly appeared on the throne without a sound, waiting patiently for his son to join him.
There was no doubt in his mind what this meeting was about. The Invaders that had come through the Gate Way. His father had tried to be peaceable to the 'humans', to find out what it was they wanted, but they had rewarded their efforts with trying to kill their people in that area.
