Dad I'm not going! Jessica Cooper yelled from her room. She could hear her dads footsteps from the hallway to her room. He opened the door. "What do you mean? Its MIDSUMMERS." I don't know I'm tired and I don't want to go! Jessica said sitting up in her bed. Her dad called out to Kayla, Jessica's step mom. "Kay, Jess is being difficult!" Kayla burst open the door, her hair in curlers and a huge makeup brush in her hand. "Jessy, c'mon, its midsummers." UGH everyone says that, I still don't care! "Pleasssssee?" Her dad down at her. "Everyone's going! You're gonna have lots of fun, I promise" Jessica sighed internally.
Fine whatever i'll go. She told him and shoved them out of her room. She let out a deep breath.
She was gonna have to get ready...
Jessica took extra time and care getting ready.... as if it would be magically canceled and she would get to stay home. She looked down at her outfit. Oh well, she thought, if she was going she might as well be looking good.
