From the beginning you chained me to the ground.

I let it go on for too long until I heard the calling from deep inside my soul.

It rushed through my veins and a wicked grin spread on my lips and with on last breath I came alive.

I lifted my head to the sky and stood looking down, your chains still restricting me anger shot through me as I ripped them off and watched the shackles fall to the ground.

Embracing my freedom, I walk away feeling the hate radiating off of you livid that I found myself.

Knowing that I will be better without you the shackles have fallen off so you have no more control and that lifts my soul.

I close my eyes, spread my wings and take off into the sky never to come down again...

For the chains have been broken.
