What do you get when a sociopathic teenage scientist who had a bad childhood decided to play God and creates the deadliest virus known to man? Well, let's just say you get one HELL of a [PROTOTYPE]. Dr. Y/N (Alexander) J. Tolliver Mercer, a boy who...
As the biggest [PROTOTYPE] fan since this game was my childhood back in the early 2000s and thanks to Death Battle, here we are making this [PROTOTYPE] into a full thing, also note this biography will be different from the others I've done since I will be going more into lore rather than things like, likes and dislikes and such. With no further explanation let's get into this!

Background: As a child Y/N Mercer and his sister, Dana Mercer, came from an abusive household in which their mother would both verbally and physically abuse the two. Y/N would tend to stand up to his mother to protect his sister but would end up with scars and bruises much to Dana's concern of his wellbeing over her own. This caused Y/N to become an impatient, dark, tortured person due to being subjected to such a childhood in poverty. He spent the first nine years of his life with his sister in foster care until their mother was released from prison when Mercer had just turned 10. In Y/N's eyes, he found foster care to be better. After an incident that caused Dana to die right in front of Y/N's eyes, he was moved back to foster care due to their mother showing her inability to take care of her children and her abuse towards them, including Dana's death which didn't seem to phase her at all. Meanwhile, Y/N was traumatized for years and never got over it even until the day he died.
While in foster care, Y/N discovered his propensity for science and found it to be his only way to escape from the cruel world around him, so once he left foster care he sought out a place to put his skill into action which is where he found out that Atlas was hiring and looking for people who'd want to work in a division of science. So he was accepted with ease although Y/N was assigned to a branch of Atlas called "GENTEK" which was supervised by Ironwood and received funding, whatever GENTEK was doing was CLASSIFIED even to Ironwood but as long as he got updates and GENTEK helped Ironwood with whatever he needed from time to time, he was fine with it...unbeknownst to Ironwood that GENTEK would soon start working on bioweapons to utilize against Grimm or other kingdoms in case another war ever started.
Y/N soon flew up in the ranks at GENTEK and soon found a spot right underneath the current owner and supervisor of the company, Dr. Raymond McMullen. With this Mercer was put in charge as the head of a biotech weapons program at GENTEK called BLACKLIGHT. As Y/N was put in charge McMullen told him that their main rule was that NO ONE would be told about ANYTHING they were working on, even Ironwood, which he agreed to since questioning his job wasn't what he was getting paid for. While at Gentek Y/N worked on multiple projects on the other end of the spectrum but BLACKLIGHT was his favorite and most interesting by far, so it's no surprise that when Mercer started working his progress far surpassed any of his colleagues or competitors. The BLACKLIGHT project was about experimenting on old viruses that existed far before even the first humans while combining Grimm traits and adaptation into them as well. So when Mercer finally got started he was astonished at what these viruses were capable of even on their own, and once infused successfully with Grimm DNA the sample did amazing things like mimic and store genetic information from other infected organisms and more. With Y/N's help, they were soon infecting and duplicating copies of their host's genetic structure down to the molecular level.
