A/N: shi is the original owners original name.

Shi's pov:

I could hear the screaming of my neighbors all around me. While the elders were trying to fight the evil that befell on us. My dad had also gone to fight against the evil, while my mom was helping others and saving them from the burning mess and the killing surge.

I had my 3 year old brother in my arms. He was crying, feeling fear. I was trying to calm him down as I hid under a carriage, the place where my mom told us to hide. Even from the narrow vision, I could see the evil ones killing our people as fresh blood splattered everywhere. The heads were flying around while the internal organs were spilling from their gut, while they were still conscious.

The town was filled with screams, wails, weeping, bodies, ruins, and sand soaked with blood. The evil didn't even spare the elderly people and the adolescents. Suddenly, I could hear footsteps that were staggering towards us. To silence my baby brother, I had to cast a technique for him to fall asleep and be silent.

Suddenly ,a face popped up on my vision. It was none other than my mum. My mum, who was ghostly pale, was now covered red even to the point where her eyes turned red.

Mum: shi... someone betrayed us. Our secret cultivation is of no use now. Save yourself and your brother. Live happily, but please don't let anyone hurt my baby.

She slowly took my brother from my hands and held him as she cried, bloody tears. She gave him back to me and fell to the ground,

Mum:*whispering* Live long, baby...

I couldn't understand what she was saying, neither do I want to. My heart felt it was shattered into a million pieces. I cried louder and louder till I couldn't make any more sound.

The way my mum died was really pitiful, as she died of qi deviation, which was even more dangerous when you're practicing blood cultivation, our sects secret cultivation technique. The pain one would feel can't be compared.

And she didn't deserve any of that. My wailing was interrupted by a giant man coming towards us smiling wickedly, holding a sword. I myself am trained in our sects cultivation and made my first kill that day.

I didn't feel anything when I killed, neither when they stabbed or cursed my hands, rendering it to rot. All my eyes saw that day was crimson from the scorching fire to the warm blood that spilled. Everything was dyed red.
I lost my consciousness without knowing the torture that awaited us...

Mei's pov:

I woke up in the middle of the night feeling so heavy, covered in cold sweat.

What was that? A nightmare?

No, I don't think it was just a nightmare....

It's the memories of the original owner. My mind was filled with many questions, but I didn't have the courage to seek the answer. I slowly got out of bed, but I fell to the ground since my legs were weak and my whole being was shaking.

Somehow, I managed to go out. The negative energy that was surrounding me was swept by the cold breeze that was blowing, which was filled with a calming fragrance.

At least it gave the illusion of sweeping my negative thoughts, but I knew it could never vanish away. Still, many memories were missing, and it was filled with many gaps. I know that I'll see all the memories, by the time I finally close my eyes in this world.

That night, I didn't get any sleep.

The next morning, I was lectured by shifu and shixiong for using the forbidden technique, blood cultivation. It seemed like the original owner never said anything about how he knew the blood cultivation from. He lied to them, that he learned it from a wandering nameless cultivator. If only they knew that the nameless cultivator is his own father.

Other than that incident, nothing major happened. I was becoming the integral part of my favorite characters group...

A/N: it's short, ik. I'll try to write the next one longer.
