"It still comes out, Namjoon."

The military man gets up and goes towards the stretcher, Jimin seems to never run out of tears ever. However, on this specific occasion he can't feel it exaggerated or too sensitive on his part. Jimin is coming from a horrible delivery and the news that he won't be able to have one of the babies; to top it off, his vagina is still bleeding and it's very upsetting to be like this. Not to mention that it is an unfortunately common occurrence in his tragedies:

The blood between his legs, the one he feared so much, continually repeating itself.

Namjoon cleans Omega's intimate area and throws away the towels they used to avoid soiling. Jimin sits up and wipes his cheeks, exasperated. Namjoon lets him deal with putting on another towel for a moment, deciding to say for no apparent reason:

"They're not going to take her off you. I won't let them do it."

The Omega looks at him with watery eyes.

"They never let women keep. They're from the system."

"Not if I prevent it."

"You're not going to be able to. They won't let me have her."

They are Namjoon's children too, he is angry because he doesn't plan to let them take his daughter away from him; however, he knows she is viscerally more important to Jimin. There is too close a bond between the Omegas and their offspring. It's part of the reason why Omegas' children are so distinctive: they have someone to care for them and go out of their way to care for them, loving them and raising them as best they can; the radical difference is that when it comes to females, they are Omegas by default.

They have to be accounted for, cared for to the extreme, and in this case, a child of a Holy Grace? She will be lucky to see the light of day or anyone else before she is assigned to a man and continues in her role. A near impossibility if they stick with their Omega. The wariness of them going through the same thing prevents them from being 'good caretakers', so they are instantly removed from the equation.

Namjoon isn't going to let it happen. He'd rather let the whole damn country burn than be treated like anyone else, rather than have his Omega cry so much over a situation that shouldn't be to begin with.

Now come to his mind, just as outrageous and vibrating as a gong, that proposal that came in years ago about letting the Omegas keep their young Did he reject it? What did he do with that? He knows what to look for as soon as set foot in his office. The door to the room is opened, being Jin with a bouquet of flowers and Taehyung carrying a stuffed animal.

"What's with those faces? They should be happy" Jin replies, instantly going into worry. "Can you two be normal for once?" he asks in exasperation. Taehyung laughs and enters the room. He hands the plush doll to Jimin and the conversation quickly begins. Namjoon for his part takes the bouquet from Jin, places it in a vase and makes him leave the room.

"A girl was born."

"Shit. That was really fast," Jin stammers. "I was hoping it would give birth to only men... What happen?" asks noticing him irritated and slightly tearful.

"You ask me what happen!? The first thing they tell me as soon as my daughter is born is that they are going to take her away in seventy-two hours, nine of which have already passed; Jimin is on the verge of a nervous breakdown and won't stop bleeding as if he had been stabbed!" replies Namjoon in exasperation.

Jin is exaggeratedly calm in his opinion. He also doesn't stop thinking about why the babies were perfectly fine despite being only five months gestation. They should be much less advanced by rule of thumb. The Omegas program director bites his lip for a moment and Namjoon squints his eyes.

"You're hiding something from me."

"No. How am I going to be-"

"Jin," Namjoon presses. "Not enough that you got here faster than anyone else, with certainty of the topic and everyone here is moving forward as if it's normal: you're hiding information from me. Again." He crosses his arms, waiting for his best friend to speak. Try to defend himself.

"So there's just normal procedure. Listen, you need to calm down. It's his first delivery, it's normal for him to bleed a lot" assures Jin nonchalantly. "In a couple more hours he'll stop bleeding and they'll bring the baby in to be seen."

"I don't want to 'see' her, I want her with me." he replies giving himself a couple of taps on his chest.

"You know it doesn't work that way. If she's a woman, she goes to the system."

"No! I never knew that! Don't you understand that I have to deal with problems other than omegas!" he shrieks exasperated that he's being made aware of a topic that initially, he wasn't interested in. Jin snorts air, yes, he should have guessed, it's not that popularly known. Only to those with Omega and bad luck. "And for what, so they can give her away when she's fifteen?"

"And because of that thought, they don't let anyone keep women or Omegas." replies Jin. Namjoon seeks patience from where he has none.

He refuses to accept it.

"I bet if I put pressure in the right places I can keep her," Jin shrugs. If he wants to try, he's no one to stop him , "but don't think I forget that you're hiding something from me and as soon as I go sit in your office you'll have to tell me everything or find someone else to ask for support."

"Namjo-"

The military man leaves grumpily. He is going to go bring the babies himself, he has no confidence that they are not running tests or strange situations. Jin is left with the word in his mouth and the stress in him is easily perceived.

. . .

"How cute they looked on you!" whines Taehyung holding one of the babies, the boy. "They're both redheads. That's knowing how to stick to the original source" smiles square and Jimin laughs equally. The baby is eating and because of that, the Omega can't move. "Have you thought of names yet?"

"Not for her. I thought it would just be a boy. No one told me twins were coming." says Jimin noticeably disgruntled and Taehyung disguises the gesture.

"So, what's the Champ's name?"

"Matthew."

"Wow~ well, I'm sure he'll be huge. He weighs more than any of my babies at birth." says Taehyung. You can tell that bringing Namjoon and Jimin together caused a good effect.

Jimin stares at the baby girl in his arms for a while. He tilts his head and mutters, "I want her name to be Yoonji."

Taehyung doesn't say anything about it. When Namjoon arrives, he doesn't put up a roadblock to that either. It's ironic how Jimin decides to give that name to a creature that, by system rules, they have to take away from him. Just like they took away the reason for that name to begin with. Just like Jin said, it stopped bleeding in another two hours. Without Jimin's knowledge, Namjoon already had the doctor who helped him put in jail, all under regulations of mistreatment of Omegas and justifying that the least they should do with him is to revoke his medical license.
