Once More

Kelly Ching's POV

This year is my second year in Jade Stone University, my last one before she goes to college. I woke up early to get ready for the first day of class. I wasn't all that excited, though. After fixing my hair, having a heavy breakfast, fixing my lunch box and a quick shower, I left my apartment and went to school. Upon reading the class list, there were only two people from my friend group that are in my class, because the class list gets rearranged every year. Those two people were John Lee and Rosie.

As I entered my classroom, I saw John and Rosie waving at me with smiles on their faces, because it's been about a month since we last saw in person, ever since we met up to go to an anime convention. I made my way to sit next to them.

After some time, the teacher arrives.

Teacher: "Alright class, welcome to a new school year, my name is Ms. Kade, how about the first thing we do is get to know each other?"

The teacher pointed at me who was sitting at the front. She said with a gentle smile on her face,

Teacher: "Let's start with you."

I gets up and walk to the front.

Kelly: "Hi everyone, my name is Kelly Ching, I transferred here at Jade Stone University a year ago, I am 17 years old, my birthday is on November 20, and it's nice to get to know you guys!"

As I was standing in front of the class, out of the 38 other students in that room who were all calm and collected, I noticed a blue haired girl who was feeling a bit uneasy. To me she looked like she was feeling hot, or flustered. The blue haired girl couldn't look me straight in the eye. I thought to myself that I want to get to know this peculiar person.

At lunch time, I went to look for a place in the cafeteria to eat her lunch. I noticed that blue haired girl again, sitting alone. There were 3 vacant chairs on the table she was on, so I made my way to the one next to this blue haired girl and I asked,

Kelly: "Hi, is this seat taken?"

I noticed how the blue haired girl was a bit startled by the sudden question.

Gwen Yu: "Ah n-no it's not, hehe."

I then laid my stuff on a vacant chair and sat next to this blue haired girl. The blue haired girl then said:

Gwen: "So, y-you're new here?"

Kelly: "Yes, though it's not entirely my first time being here in Jade Stone University. I visited this school for enrollment last year, so I'm not all that new here. I guess we haven't met each other last year, hehe." I said as I was unpacking my lunch box.

Gwen: "O-oh, that's nice to hear. Ah, I haven't introduced myself, my name is Gwen. Gwen Yu." She said while smiling.

I can't help but notice how she's as red as a tomato right now. Like she's flustered, feeling all giddy. Was it because of me? If that's the case then I feel surprised, because all my life, no one had such feelings for me, other than my ex-girlfriend, though that relationship didn't last all that long.

My parents got me to stay in an apartment that isn't too far from the school, because my home town is a little over two hours away, and I didn't really wanna commute that long because it gets tiring at times. I do visit my family on the weekends, though.

As I was making my way to my apartment, I noticed Gwen fumbling with her keys. It turns out she lives here. She saw me approaching and said,

Gwen: "Oh- Kelly! I didn't expect to see you here. Uhh, what brings you here?"

Kelly: "This is my apartment. I didn't like having to commute three and a half hours from my house, so my parents agreed to let me stay in an apartment 10 minutes away from the school. Hehe, I guess it's a coincidence that our rooms are next to each other."

Gwen: "Oh, I see. Well, feel free to come into my apartment any time you want, alright?"

Kelly: "Sure! ^-^"

Again. She seems flustered. She just met me and is suddenly inviting me to stay in her apartment at any time. Surely she likes me. I won't think too much of this though. I went into my apartment and started my nightly routine that involves taking a shower and eating something I cooked last night while watching anime. I didn't have anything to do because it was just the first day of school. I noticed that several hours passed by. It's already 12:46. I should've been asleep an hour ago.
