Within the Darkness

Ch-8[Alone]

You just walked and walked in the dark forest. You can see a waterfall nearby. It was beautiful. You could also see a body beside. I seemed familiar

"MOM"

She was still moving. She was badly scratched and bitten.

"Mom please stay alive for me"

"I am so sorry honey I let you down"

She handed you her weapons. You tried not to sob...just silent tears fell from your eyes. She just stared at you...you were once again left alone. No one was there beside you. You heard strange voices nearby. Zombies. You took your gun went inside the forest. Nothing really mattered to you other than killing those bastards. You were ready to sacrifice your own life for killing every one of the infected on this Earth. There were a bunch of zombies in front of you. You started firing at them. You felt your heart beating really fast. You saw the whole scene in slow motion. How every bullet hit the infected. You heard a noise from behind you. You took the pistol from your waist and hit it in the skull. It immediately fell to the ground. You brought your attention to your front. More were coming. You didn't mind. It seemed really fun. You felt no emotion. Everything was already gone. Your mother, your school, the whole goddamn city. Only you were left. Sam must be at his base now. Life was really beautiful. And I still want to enjoy every single bit of it till my last breath. You started laughing like a manic. You shooted all of the infected till there was no one left. Your ammo was finished. One of have bit you on your leg, one on your hand, all of them healed in an instant. I am not human anymore. You returned to the same waterfall. Your mother was still there. But this time she was standing facing the water. She heard your footsteps. She rushed towards you. But you didn't defend yourself. She started slicing your flesh with her teeth. You didn't feel any pain. You wanted to die. That's the only way you guessed.

"You have to live"

A voice spoke inside of you. But what was the use of living?

"Everyone faces hard times in life, but that doesn't mean you can give up on life. Now get up and fight"

"But she is my mother"

"But she is not anymore"

"Why should I listen to you"

"Because I am you"

You tried to get away from your mother's grasp. You felt this power in you. You threw her away like a paper. Your wounds healed. Your mother rushed toward you. You killed her with a punch on her face. She fell to the ground, dead. You sat in front of the waterfall, enjoying it. You broke down. Suddenly, you started to feel very dizzy. You heard a shout calling your name. Someone embraced you. The same beautiful smell. You smiled to yourself.

"Y/N! HEY STAY AWAKE FOR ME"
