Roma began to gather what supplies she could from the barn. She put them together in a saddle bag and placed the saddle onto Gammit. She climbed onto him and road off away from the village.

Roma rode Gammit along the very obvious path made by the beasts that had destroyed her life as she new it. She followed for almost four hours and the sun had begun to set. She could no longer see the tracks, but there was a dead tree just a little further up the trail.

Roma rode to the tree and stabbed her sword into the ground and tied Gammit's reins to it. She pulled out her father's hunting knife and carved a target on the tree. She walked back and aimed her bow at the tree. She loaded an arrow and relaxed. She let her breath out lightly and released just the way her father taught her. The arrow seemed to move slowly and smoothly towards the tree. The arrow struck the tree with a loud thunk!

Roma was proud of her achievements and set out the saddle blanket to sleep on because it was the best she had available. She slowly closed her eyes trying not to think about what she saw happen to her village as she finished closing them she fell deep into sleep.

She had a nightmare causing her to relive the terror she went through. She woke as the last beast left her sight. She was sweaty and breathing heavily. She was full of terror until she realized it didn't happen again.

Roma felt hunger creep over her. She then realized she hadn't eaten for three days now. She felt like she was starving and would eat anything. She looked over at the dead tree and say an owl staring at her. He quietly raised her bow, which she had slept next to, loaded an arrow and aimed it at the owl. She released the arrow and it hit the tree with a loud thump.

Roma went to the tree and ripped the arrow out of the tree and owl. She then plucked the owl like she would chickens at the village. She roasted the owl over a fire she built using the dead tree. Roma enjoyed every bite of the owl as she chewed it and it entered into her growling stomach.

Rims put the saddle blanket and saddle back on Gammit and rode away from the tree following the trail left from the beasts.

As she was following the trail she saw a storm cloud closing in on her. She began to breath heavily and tries to think. She had never seen a sand storm before only heard of them in tales that nobody survived through them.
