"Well," Cynthia says, looking around the room after she exited the bathroom for her husband Robert, "the test came back positive, I'm pregnant."
He looks up to meet her gaze from his desk, covered in paperwork. Running and making sure the Prince Mafia operates smoothly isn't an easy task. "Wonderful, now we just have to wait and see if it's a boy or not."
Cynthia sighs, knowing that he does things the 'traditional' way, meaning that he would not accept a girl as his successor.
"Would it really be that bad if it was a girl, Robert? I mean, times are changing, it doesn't have to be a man in charge anymore, and a woman in charge won't be the end of the world," she says slowly, not wanting to get into an argument.
He gives her a look, "Of course it has to be a boy, it's been this way for generations," he throws his hands up in exasperation, "having a girl as my heir would simply be disgraceful and unacceptable!"
"So what would you do if it was a girl?" She asks, hoping for the best.
"Don't jinx it."
