( Whatever cultures are mentioned, are mostly for the sake of story-line and not to be taken as a real fact. What ever each character's personal idea about certain things are, are also used for character building purpose, not to be emulated or taken as an ideal)

Vasusena's thunderous steps striding towards Andarmahal has left the guards apprehensive. Is it really prudent for them to allow Angraaja a meeting with their future empress at his current aggresive demeanour ? But he is Yuvraaj's most loyal friend and a close confidante of devi Bhanumati! Well; she is. There is also the question of someone actually having to approach her. Eyes screaming murderous rage, steps nearly shattering the ground that has been walked by...... Vasu resembles the goddess of death fixated on utter destruction.

Yuvrani Bhanumati has been staring through her window blankly when the duar-pal notifies her about the current predicament.

- Let her come.

- But....but.......... Yuvrani!

- Right now some one needs to calm her rage lest it devastates our entire land. I believe few are capable of achieving that feat ; at least among the ones that are present here. Besides when an Empress approaches you for conversation, what you can do except pay heed to her speech?

..........................................................................

( Flashback)

- Promise me.

Says the woman with unbraided traces spilling over her delicate back. She casually leans against  the tree and looks towards the  Ganga flowing calmly ahead.

- Come on ,Mitra. Do you really think I would ever disrespect you?

Says the man also leaning against the same tree beside her. Their horses are grazing  a feet away. The heavy tone of conversation does not seem to affect the serenity of the surrounding. Probably because of the unique bond shared between  the two.

- I know you won't. Still ,vow please.

Says the woman earnestly. Her voice  turns heavy

- Too much of respect sometimes turns to fear or makes a person unapproachable. Respect comes with a healthy amount of trust , love , equality and understanding. One too many ; dooms any  relation.

-Uff, Okay. I vow to never disrespect my Sakhi Vasusena .

- directly or indirectly .

- whaa.....

- say it.

- fine, directly or indirectly.

- Or do something that brings down her reputation .

-huh....

- Suyo!!

-Or do something that brings down her reputation .

- Or make her sad or cause her shame.

-Or make her sad or cause her shame.

- Or.......That's it.

- Finished ? I thought you were gonna add a thousand more only.

- NO, It's done.

- Well then, my turn, I suppose. I will never directly or indirectly disrespect my Sakhi Vasusena, do something to bring down her reputation, make her sad or cause her shame.I vow to never treat her differently than my other friends. I vow to always pay heed to her warnings. I vow to never let anyone treat her differently than me. I , Friend of Devi Vasusena, Hastinapur resident, Yuvraj Duryodhana, vow to adhere to all the things my sakhi has included or has forgotten today to include . Does that please you, sakhi?
