I got dressed using what clothes I had brought with me. A simple pair of loose jeans and a band T I used as a pajama shirt. Sodo, on the other hand, wore what he normally did. Black jeans with a black button up. I had assumed after seeing all the ghouls wearing it that it was some sort of uniform. Though it seemed a bit silly that ghouls had uniforms I accepted it, and Sodo looked hot in the button up.

I took a deep breath. The apartment was in view. In the daylight nothing seemed scary. It was just a normal apartment building with normal people inside. My eyes scanned over each car in the parking lot. They all looked familiar. I came to the conclusion my parents weren't here...yet.

"You're going to be ok." Sodo whispered to me. I hadn't noticed just how tight I was squeezing his hand. It had become a habit now. If I was scared or nervous I would squeeze Sodo's hand. He didn't seem to mind much and instead used the feeling to know when I was uncomfortable.

"Lana!" A voice yelled. I tensed up quickly at the unfamiliar voice. Sodo pulled me behind him in one quick swoop. Celia then rounded the corner of the apartment building. Her once floral dress now traded for a pair of high waisted jeans, sun bleached from constant use. A green long sleeve shirt covering her arms from the high sun. A straw hat shaded her wrinkled face.

"Oh hello Celia." Sodo wrapped an arm around my waist, trying to keep me behind him at the unfamiliar person. I pushed past Sodo, who still kept an arm around me. "Lana I just wanted to let you know your parents came by. They are such nice people." Celia hobbled closer.

A bright smile on her lips as she looked up to me. Celia had no clue what kind of people my parents actually were. She seemed so innocent in the matter I hadn't the heart to tell her.

"Oh well, what did they want?" I asked, trying to seem clueless and curious. "Your mother was trying to find your apartment so I pointed her in the right direction. I guess you were out last night though." Her eyes shifted to Sodo. As I watched Celia look Sodo over her face grew a paler color under her hat. Recognition washed through her eyes.

"I'm going to leave you to your day. Have a good afternoon." With that Celia quickly hobbled away and around the corner again. The fear was evident as she walked. That quick shuffle someone would do when getting away from a scary person.

I sighed as she rounded the corner once again. "What's her problem?" Annoyance laced his voice. Sodo pressed a hand to my lower back encouraging me to begin moving forward again. "She's not a fan of... your kind." Explaining this to Sodo was hard. I would have thought he got the message.

"My kind?" We walked through the doors and over to the staircase. "No no no no." My words quick. It must have sounded offensive to Sodo, not my intention. "I'm messing with you darling." I had turned around with wide eyes. My brain going a mile a minute thinking I had made Sodo angry.

"I hate you." Muttering, Sodo began to follow me up the stairs to my apartment. His hand still lingering on the small of my back. A reassurance he was still there.

We entered my apartment. The place looked like a mess. A few trinkets from my shelves spilt on the floor. Glass from picture frames scattered along the cold hardwood. My bedroom door flung open. I didn't want to imagine how bad my room was.

"Holy shit!" My hand came to my mouth, covering the gasp on my face. Sodo made no word. I looked up to make sure he was still there. I was met with the most death filled and anger led look I have ever seen.

The once calm and playful red eyes now glazed over. If you looked too hard you could see a million lost souls trying to escape. The red turned to blood. His pupil dilated back and only remained as a single dot in the middle of his eyes.

I shivered in fear at what I saw. A fear I had never felt before, and wish to never feel again. For the first time I had felt true fear from Sodo, but not toward me. I feared what he would do to my parents if he ever found them.

Flashing imagines of deaths I had seen in movies pooled into my mind. I knew Sodo could and would do more than just kill my parents. I could feel it in him. Just standing next to him, Sodo's thoughts began to mold into mine. The want for death and revenge began to fuel me.

I took a step forward. "Don't move." Sodo warned. I turned back. "What?" He had turned back to the once caring gaze that eased my mind. Though the lust for blood was there, hidden behind a fake calmed gaze.

"There's glass everywhere. I don't want you stepping on it." I looked down at my boots. There shouldn't have been a problem for me. Although I listened to Sodo, still shaken by that stare he had. "Ok, then what should I do?"

I was quickly swept off my feet. A yelp leaving my mouth at the surprising move. "Sodo!" I said in the gasp. "Hold on, I'm bringing you to the kitchen." With that Sodo walked with me in his arms to the kitchen.

The sight of the kitchen was better. No broken plates with the exception of a few strewn out pans and tossed silverware. "Stay here while I clean up the glass. Don't move, you hear me." Sodo pointed his finger at me. I nodded and he stalked off to the living room.

I began to tidy the kitchen seeing as it was the only place I was allowed to be. The clinking of glass being moved echoed in the quiet room. Sodo huffed before his footsteps moved across the floor. I was too focused on the kitchen. I never looked up once.

"Darling!" Sodo finally said after half an hour of glass shuffling around the floor. I looked over to the living room. The frames of the broken pictures scattered on the coffee table. The trinkets once on the floor placed back up on the shelf.

"It's ok to come now." A look of pride replaced the hidden blood lust. "Thank you Sodo." I walked from the kitchen to him. He smiled as I moved closer. A small kiss planted on my lips before I looked to my room, ruining the moment.

"Right, your room." A sensitive topic, though I wasn't sure why. I was worried to see what it looked like. We walked over, Sodo in front of me.

The door hung slightly ajar. The dark from inside creates an eerie look to it. Slowly the door was pushed open and a light flicked on. Inside was a nightmare.
