"Sorry Vanilla! I can't play anymore!" Pan Dulce said as she pet the wyvern that tried to follow her. "It's ok, I'll be back! See you again buddy."

The wyvern, Vanilla, playfully growled and nudged her as a goodbye gesture before leaving. Pan Dulce waved goodbye to them before heading back to the Dragon Village, her smile becoming only a little smaller.

As much as she wished she could play more, there were still matters she had to attend to. Most important of which was the meeting of adventurers later today to discuss the eminent threat of the Red Dragon that is wreaking havoc over the Dragon's Valley. As the only cookie in the city able to speak the language of dragons and wyverns, it was no surprise that she was asked to attend, even if she repeatedly stated she is no fighter.

'Fighter or not, the ability to communicate with dragons will be very valuable in the long run.' That was their reasoning, and it gave Pan Dulce little reason to refuse.

Upon entering the city, Pan Dulce quickly noted how ordinary things seemed to be going. Merchants were attempting to sell their wares, adventurers stocking up on supplies and getting a bite to eat, that bard singing his songs and telling his tales, the usual. Pan Dulce's smile softened even more, seems like until the adventurer's meeting, it would be another uninteresting day. How boring.

"This is it! Welcome to Dragon City!" Pan Dulce's ears caught at the unfamiliar voice and she quickly turned her head. The voice came from a female adventurer, one Pan Dulce doesn't recall ever seeing before in the city. Her hair was a bright pink, her armor was a dark berry-like magenta, and she carried a large, heart-shaped shield on her back.

Although Pan Dulce knew the woman would tower over her, she couldn't help but think she looks a bit short compared to the other two adventurers with her, who were a good deal taller. One had much darker dough and heavy looking armor, along with a large gauntlet on his right hand. The other wore no armor, but some clothes that were well suited for adventuring, and they had a slightly pink complexion to their dough.

Pan Dulce's smile grew a little, it would appear things would be interesting after all.

With little ideas on what to do, Pan Dulce walked to the center of the town square and sat down, intending to do some people watching before meeting later. It wasn't too long until one of the newcomers, the one with long hair and a pinkish complexion, walked closer towards the dragon egg statue. The same statue she was sitting near.

She watched discreetly as the cookie walked up to the statue with fascination, and her eyes widened slightly when the cookie spoke.

"IHN DAOND"

The cookie... spoke in Dragontongue. The ancient language of the dragons. It was a very old language, even to dragon standards. Most don't even speak it anymore, and Pan Dulce didn't know very much of it herself.

Her smile grew as the newcomer was dragged away by their companions. She wasn't the only one who knew the language of dragons, even if the stranger knew a language that hasn't been spoken in millennia. Pan Dulce stood up in excitement, intending to go over to talk to the newcomer.

"Whoa! So cool!" A couple nearby cookies said, making Pan Dulce stop in her tracks. Before she could even turn to see what the commotion was about, the shadow of a wyvern flew over her.

"Oh my god, it's really him!" A female cookie squealed as the wyvern landed, allowing Pan Dulce to finally get a good look at the wyvern's rider, and her smile grew a little more as a wave of familiarity washed over her.

"Aha! The dragon rider you've been waiting for has arrived!"
