I promised myself that I would never fall in love, get a crush, a girlfriend etc because it would risk their lives and I couldn't have that on my head.

But Quinn, God it's impossible to avoid such beauty. Not only that, despite everything she's been through her first priority is always her loved ones which in this case are her brothers and me of course.

We have been dating for a year and it has been the best year of my life. She brought this light into my dull, war based world and I owe her everything for it.

"Stai pensando alla ragazza del tuo capo?" Mattheo asked grinning widely bringing me out my train of thought.
(You thinking about that girlfriend of yours boss?)

"Non capisco come siano affari tuoi, quindi a meno che tu non sia venuto a dirmi qualcosa di importante puoi andartene dal mio ufficio" I replied in my regular dull tone flicking through some documents on my desk.
(I don't see how that is any of your business so unless you came to tell me something important you can get the hell out of my office)

He cleared his throat and sat opposite me opening his laptop.

"L'anno scorso, quando Zain è stato mandato a rapire la tua ragazza, beh, sappiamo che suo padre è arrivato in aereo qualche giorno fa"  He said turning his laptop to me.
(Last year, when Zain was sent to kidnap your girlfriend, well, we have intel that his father arrived by plane a few days ago)

The second that name came out his mouth my head shot up. He showed me a video of Viktor, Zain's father  walking with two of his men to an unclosed location.

"Scopri le sue motivazioni e non dirlo a nessuno" I commanded and he nodded before leaving shutting my door behind him.

I swear to fucking god this better be some odd 'vacation' for him which I doubt. Otherwise, all hell is going to break loose and there is no way I'm not going to protect Quinn or die trying.

I got up and went to the shooting range to blow off steam. I locked the door and grabbed my gun before firing at the target hitting it right in the middle everytime, imaginging Viktor's face on the target.

Once I reloaded my gun for the third time I went downstairs to our gym so I could blow off more steam. Once I got there I wrapped my knuckles before punching my punching bag over and over again, harder and harder each time.

"You seem angry, want me to come back later?" Quinn asked, I shot my head in her direction and she stood there confused but looked as beautiful as she does everyday.

"No no, its alright amore mio i'm just blowing off steam" I replied taking my gloves off. "Everything okay?" She asked. As much as I never want to keep her in the dark, in this situation it's best that way.

"Yeah don't worry, what about you?" I asked walking over to her. "Yeah I just missed you and Mattheo said you'd be here if you wasn't in your office so I thought i'd come find you" she smiled.

"Well how about I take you home so I can shower then we can go for a drive?" I said walking her upstairs and she nodded her head.

We got in my car and drove to my house, as soon as we got inside Harley ran over to us and when she saw Quinn she jumped into her arms. I wish for nothing more than seeing my sister love my girl as much as me.

I made my way to my bathroom whilst Quinn sat and played with Harley.

15 minutes later I made my way downstairs and heard laughing coming from the living room. I walked in on my mother showing Quinn and Harley pictures from the family album most likely my baby pictures.

I cleared my throat making myself known in the room and all 3 heads looked up at me with big grins.

"Okay so what's going on here?" I asked crossing my arms. "You never told me you were such a cute baby" Quinn giggled looking back at the album.

"Sul serio mamma? le foto del mio bambino" I said raising an eyebrow at my mother who just rolled her eyes.

"Avevo bisogno di mostrare alla tua ragazza che non sei sempre stato un uomo così grande, forte e lunatico" She grinned before closing the album.
(I needed to show your girlfriend that you werent always this big strong, moody man)

"Ready to go amore?" I asked and she nodded her head before walking over to me. We waved bye to my mother and Harley before making our way to my car.

"So what we thinking today then?" I said placing my hand on Quinn's thigh and she instantly blushed making me smirk slightly.

"Movies??" She asked eagerly "disney?" I replied seeing as she is very much obsessed with Disney movies.

"Do you think we can watch a scary movie?" She questioned which made me confused. Quinn is absolutely terrified of horror films, "you want to watch a scary movie? You hate them and they always terrify you" I reminded, "I think I can last a whole movie" She said sure of herself.

I nodded and drove to the cinema whilst she looked which movies were showing.

Once we got there she tried paying for snacks but of course I was quick and tapped my card fast and gave her a victorious look.

We walked into the screen which was showcasing 'The Conjuring 2'. "If you get too scared just let me know, and i'm right here okay?" I assured her and she nodded her head and smiled before we sat in our seats at the back.

We are halfway through the movie and Quinn is holding onto my arm hiding her face from the screen. I watched wondering what she found so scary about these movies, she looked at me like I was insane when I chuckled at one of the jumpscares.

When the movie was over she was physically shaking. "Listen to me, this movie and everything in it was fake okay? Nothing will hurt you, no one will hurt you as long as im here okay bellissima" I reassured whilst rubbing her arms and she nodded.

We got up and made our way out and she was clinging onto my arm and I'm not complaining one bit.

Once I dropped her off home and walked her to her front door telling her once again she hasn't got anything to be afraid of. The second I sat in my car she FaceTimed me.

"Do you think they'll be in my closet?" She whispered which made me chuckle to myself. "No I dont because they're fake, tell Jason to go with you and check" she nodded and went to Jason who lead her to her room and checked her closet, bathroom and under her bed for 'demons' before leaving.
