Chapter 3 Snow vs shadows

Winters pov

Currently winter could be seen walking through the halls of beacon she eventually spots ironwood who has huge bruise on his face from last night's events.

Ironwood: "What the hell was that thing? Was it a new type of grimm?"

Ozpin: "grimm don't speak....and grimm most certainly don't interrogate people. This is much worse.....he's returned."

Ironwood: "Who? Who has returned?"

Ozpin: "Batman has returned.."

Everyone goes silent they all knew about the legends the most dangerous man alive. This was bad. If batman returned he would almost definitely find out about ozpins secret and how he became immortal. After all. Batman had a legend also. While ozpin was immortal batman was remembered as a symbol of hope. A light in the darkness. If the people started to rally behind him then the huntsmen were as good as toast.

Ironwood: "Batman needs to be eliminated. Or captured...this needs to be done quietly. Winter."

Winter: "Yes sir?"

Ironwood: "Find me this batman. And kill him. I want his head."

Winter: "Yes sir."

With those words winter gathered up a few atlas soldiers before heading out Into vale. She started patrolling the areas that batman was last sighted. And eventually she came across him beating the ever living shit out of some white fang grunts.

Batman: "Where is Roman torchwick?!"

White fang grunt: "I-i don't know I sware!"

Batman: "Wrong answer."

The dark knight breaks 2 of the white fang grunts fingers before holding him up in the air by the neck.

Batman: "Roman torckwick.....I won't ask a second time."

White fang grunt: "O-ok ok I'll talk I'll talk!"

But right as the grunt was about to talk that's when we strike.

Winter: "Move in now!!"

The soldiers start to open fire on batman and the grunt but batman managed to grapple away just in the nick of time to dodge the bullets.

Y/ns pov.

Those basterds they actually did it. I knew ozpin and Ironwood were dumb but this was the most brash and pig headed decision he's ever seen...they sent a kill squad after him. He had no time to think about this as more atlas specialists opened fire on him with there sniper rifles. One of them even managed to tag me in the leg.

Y/n: "ngh....ok. these basterds are pissing me off..."

And so y/n quickly drops a smoke bomb vanishing quickly. Winter and the specialists move in.

Winter: "Where did he go?"

Specalist: "I dont know....but he couldn't have gotten far."

Winter: "stay sharp....we don't know what we are dealing with."

As winter and this specialists talked I made my move. First I knocked out the snipers in the back. Then I moved onto the medics. I pulled them into ths shadows with my grappling hook. Winter meanwhile starts to look around her soldiers were dropping like Flys. Eventually it was just her and 2 other specialists. The other 10 were missing.....

Winter: "SHOW YOURSELF YOU COWARD!"

As winter yelled that the 2 remaining soldiers are pulled into the shadows leaving winter the only one left. She draws both of her swords as she stared into the darkness.

Winter: "FACE ME LIKE A WARRIOR YOU COWARD...."

Listening to this I decide to give her what she wants so I grab winter by the wrist before quite literally throwing her through a window. She grunts in pain as she lands on another rooftop. Only for the dark knight to land in front of her.

Y/n: "You wanted me....well here I am."

Winter let's out a low growl as she charges twords the dark knight as she swings her swords around trying to take his head clean off. But y/n managed to dodge the attacks before countering by kicking winter in the gut causing her to grunt in pain. Quickly following this up y/n grabs one of her swords before using her own weapon to quickly cut her across the cheek. Winter flips backwards before landing in a fighting position. She slowly runs her hand across the small cut before growing even more pissed.

Winter: "I sware to oum. I'm gonna kill you."

Y/n: "You want me dead! I'm right here. Come and try it I dare you!"

I spin the sword around in my hand before getting into my stance. Winter did the same with her sword.

Y/n: "I'll beat you with your own weapon..."

Winter clearly hearing enough. She charges twords me. We clash blades before exchanging a few more blows. The sound of metal clashing against metal could be heard as winter and y/ns duel continued. They both danced across the rooftops slashing and jabbing at one another. She managed to get a few cuts in but due to this y/n also managed to get a few cuts in. The only difference was that y/n was aiming for specific points. First he needed to take out winters arms.

Y/n: "Enough!"

Y/n yells in a loud and booming voice before slamming the hilt of the sword into winters jaw causing the schnee to cartwheel backwards. She lands on the ground with a sense of elegance but y/n is already back on her. He jumps into the air before bringing his sword down in a cleaving motion. Winter who took note of this blocked the dark knights attack but it actually managed to force her to one knee due to the ammont of pressure he was applying on the blade.

Winter: "ngh....cmon is that all you got....I've seen more skills in the training halls of beacon academy."

This pissed y/n off. The dark knight rushed the schnee clashing blades with her once again but this time y/n took a new approach a more aggressive approach. He starts to pick up the pace exchanging a few more blows this would cause winter to go on the defensive. She was actually kinda shocked. This vigilante could keep up with her sword skills. Normally people would be dead within the first 20 minutes of the fight but batman...he wasn't a normal human. No y/n has been training for 4 years. It was time for winter to see the full extent of his training.

Y/n: "No more games...."

Winter: "Agreed I'm going to kill you right here.....right now."

We both rush at eachother as we clash blades over and over just trying to find an opening. But that's when it happens. Y/n manages to slash winter across the side with his sword. He follows it up by slashing winter across the leg finally bringing her down. But as winter went to grab her sword again y/n held winters own sword to her neck.

Y/n: "yield....."

Winter: "Cmon we both know you won't kill me....thats not your style."

Y/n growls under his mask before getting an idea sure he couldn't kill winter thats not what Bruce would do. So y/n throws winters sword away before slowly walking away.

Winter: "What are you doing GET BACK HERE AND FINISH ME!"

Y/n: "Your not worth it....if I'm gonna cross that line....then I'll do it for someone who's actually worth my time."
