The Dreamers

Chapter 18

*Flashback*

The episode opens to a shot of the exterior of Luna's and Poseidon's mansion at night, before cutting to the master bedroom where Balan and Nights are asleep. A young Dreamwork's frightened voice can be heard from offscreen. "Balan! Nights!"

Balan is roused from his sleep. He turns to Nights who has most of the blanket.

Balan said sleepily "Mmph. Dreams calling us, Nights."

Nights said sleepily, annoyed "You get up."

Balan sighs and gets out of bed. He enters Dreamworks' room, where she is hiding beneath her blankets.

Balan asked "Dream? What troubles you, my star?"

Young Dreamworks was crying out "Balan! Balan!"

Young dreamworks climbs down from her bed and runs into balan's arms. Balan hoists her up to comfort her. "I had a dream! A really bad dream!"

Balan yawns and wipes away Dreamworks' tear, correcting her. "A nightmare."

Dreamworks said sobbing "I was looking all over the palace, and... I couldn't find you anywhere! You weren't there!"

Balan rubs Dreamworks on the back comfortingly "There there, Dream, it's okay. You're okay."

Balan summons his tims to bring his book as he walks Dreamworks back to bed. "When you're scared, and you don't know where I am, you must remember..."

The tims gives the book to him. He telekinetically flips it open "No matter what happens to me, I will never be far away... from my special little starfire."

Balan begins singing a lullaby to little Dreamworks.

♫ It always seems more quiet... in the dark ♫

Balan opens a portal above himself and dreamworks. She looks up in awe of the beauty of space through the portal.

♫ It always feels so stark... how silence grows under the moon ♫

Balan and young dreamworks float up through the portal and into the cosmos, landing on a barren moon.

♫ Constellations gone so soon ♫

♫ I used to think that I was bold ♫

Walking across the moon, balan leaves footprints in the dust.

♫ I used to think love would be fun ♫

♫ Now, all my stories have been told. Except for one... ♫

Balan looks down at young Dreamworks, and she looks back with her large, curious eyes. Her gaze shifts to a pink glow to her side.

♫ As the stars start to align ♫

♫ I hope you take it as a sign that you'll be okay ♫

A meteor begins its descent towards a giant, pink colored star.

♫ Everything will be okay ♫

The meteor makes contact with the pink star, and begins to sink beneath the molten surface.

♫ And if the Seven seas collapse ♫

Multiple planetary bodies begin gravitating toward the pink star, including the moon that balan and dreamworks currently reside on, which eventually shatters into pieces as the star's gravity pulls on it.

♫ Although, the day could be my last. You will be okay ♫

Dreamworks yawns and falls asleep contentedly against balan's chest.

♫ When I'm gone, you'll be okay... ♫

Distant planetary bodies fly through the cosmos, pulled in by the pink star's incredible gravitational pull. They disintegrate upon impact and causes the star to explode in a powerful supernova just as the portal closes behind Balan causing him to sing louder.

♫ And when Creation goes to die ♫

♫ You can find me in the sky ♫

♫ Upon the last day ♫

Balan drapes the sleeping Dreamworks in a blanket.

♫ And you will be okay... ♫

His lullaby finished, balan leaves as his young friend settles to sleep, content.

Years later....
Dreamworks sent the amazing digital circus crew to the planet where balan and nights were at. Then the team continued to fight after the sacrifices they're friends made. They figured out that Haggar was the one wanting to destroy the realities. They made a plan to stop her at the center.

Dreamworks was sitting in a room worrying about haggar coming to the point, everyone's worried.

Balan knocked on her door, then peeked in "Hey, you doing alright?"

Dreamworks said "I would if haggar was gone. I just..." she sighed "I don't know what to do."

Balan walked over and hugged her. "Come on dreamworks. Let's get you some rest."

Balan picked her up then put her then put her in her bed. "Just get some sleep. You'll be tired for the fight."

Dreamworks said "Thanks...balan."

Balan closed Dreamworks' door, then sighed. He walked to the kitchen then made a drink, he sighed wondering what he should do. Allura walked in, then she saw Balan looking down. Allura asked "Balan? What are you doing up?"

Balan replied "Oh hello Allura, I'm just worried about Dreamworks. She's been after that Haggar person, I don't know what to do."

Allura said "Maybe try, take her out to a restaurant or something to calm down."

Balan said "Hey maybe you're right, I'll do it. Thanks Allura." He left the room.

In the morning. Dreamworks woke up, relaxed and better than ever.

Balan said "Hey Dreamworks, I got an idea. Why don't we go to a restaurant? You've been working so hard."

Dreamworks said "I don't know. I still have some work to do."

Balan said "But this will help you."

Dreamworks said "Okay I guess."

Balan and Dreamworks then went to a restaurant. They enjoyed themselves, then when they were finished, dreamworks was so relaxed, she felt ready to attack, and she felt like she could do anything again.

At night, Dreamworks was then tucked in her bed by balan. "Thanks for the night out. I feel relaxed."

Balan said "You're very welcome dreamworks." Balan closed the door behind him as Dreamworks went to sleep.
