Lingard's POV
This new planet is very cold and Melissa told me that it's reaches -5 decrees cold in here. Sylver did confirm that we landed at the cold part of the planet thus far as I'm concerned. They are more places to explore and yet we didn't encounter any signs of life yet.
My crewmates reached a big cave as we traversed the snowy biome that we are in.
"This cave seems to be a perfect place for us to establish our base" Melissa suggested as I begin pondered while Collin and I were looking in the cave.
The cave seems wide and it is filled with glowing green crystals to illuminate the darkness inside.
"Jake Collin go scan further into the cave" I heard Sylver ordered the soldier.
"Yeah sure" I could heard the nervousness on Jake's tone because he told me about his occupation as a soldier and yet he is still new and haven't received experienced true battles yet.
"I could go with you if you like" I suggested, this made the soldier sigh in relief.
"Just be careful now" Dale said in worried tone as he pulls out a building tool and now we begin walking further into the cavern.
No One's POV
Lingard and Jake begin to explore the mysterious yet beautiful cavern. The glowing green crystal seems to reduce the tension for the two.
"Thanks for the accompany. Lingard" The soldier thanked the combat medic.
"Anytime. Jake" Lingard replied. He begin to touched the glowing green crystals in the cave walls and the light it provides causing them to not waste flashlight batteries for them.
"I just can't believe Earth is gone and now... Our kind will now live here" The soldier seems so sad at the lost of Earth.
"This planet seems similar to Earth but we somehow landed in the cold part of the planet as if we landed in Antartica" Lingard pointed out while checking on the surroundings. They suddenly reached a body of water at the end of the cave.
"This seems to be it and I think we'll explore this area later" Jake seems to be curious on what's in the water but then they don't have any swimming gear for them to continue exploring in the freezing cold water.
"We should get back to the crew" Lingard suggested as Jake nodded. The two walked back to the rest to their crew members.
[A Few Days Later]
"I need a status report please" We heard the captain through the comms control after Dale built a massive radio tower outside the cave.
Melissa pressed the button on the comms panel to speak with Captain Zeal.
"Captain. We scan the area which is the landing site and I found that they are odd creatures in the water but not much on land" She explains everything while looking at her tablet.
"Alright. I got you and I'll be preparing to announced our people that we will land on this planet in 48 hours. Keep me updated on your status" The captain finish speaking through the comms. The crew seems to be exciting and worried at the same time because now this planet will be human's new home.
There are still so many hidden to be discovered in this planet like unknown creatures that lurks at every corner.
