I kick off my shoes and jump on my bed. The lunch I had with my mother nearly took all my energy for the whole week. She would just not stop talking about how I needed to find a boyfriend. But nevertheless, I decided to fly solo, live on my own for now, be by myself.

The only way I can find a boyfriend right now is if there is a fairy godmother that comes into my room... nope nothing. Man I was kind of hoping that there would be someone that came in my room right now. But the odds of it happening, slim to none. Ah, do you hear me, I sound like my mom. All her negativity is rubbing off on me. I have to talk to someone...

I pick up my phone and dialed her phone number. I have memorized it by heart. I press call and wait for her to pick up.

"Yellow," she answers. She seems to think that it is funny to say yellow instead of hello when she picks up the phone. I don't get it either.

"Clary, it's me. Hey do you want to meet up at my place? Maybe order some take out, watch a movie and have some girl talk. I could use it after the lunch I had today." I ask sounding desperate for her help, like a boyfriend just dumped me.

"YES!" She booms in the phone. "I would love that! Ok I'll bring the movie, you order some take out. Oh, and by the way, that new Chinese restaurant just opened so see if they are good. This is going to be so much fun. See you in like five, ok bye"

I didn't even get a chance to say bye before she hung up the phone. Clary tends to get a little carried away with these things. But when my mom visits in town, I sure as heck need the girly night filled with Channing Tatumn movies and chocolate.

*~*~*

"I'm here!" She shouts as I open up the door. In high school Clary was the head cheerleader so you can see where all her peppiness comes from. "And I brought Channing with me," she gestures toward what she is holding up. The movie of choice from her is Magic Mike, of course, why am I not surprised?

"Great, and I have Chinese takeout," mimicking what she did I hold up my bag full of delicious sesame chicken and fried rice... wow we are acting like teenage girls right now. But after the week we both have had, we deserve a little us time am I right?

So the movie is on, the food is ready, the chocolate is near, we have our places on the couch. All were missing is... I look at Clary, and she looks at me. And I think she had the same thought that I did because we both said it aloud at the same time, "Truth or Dare!"

"Clary go get the bottle from in the kitchen, we will do this," I exclaimed. Truth or Dare is our game. We used to play it all the time when we were kids. We would have night ins all the time and the first thing we would do is Truth or Dare. Clary would always end up picking the dirtiest dares for me, like lick the trashcan or something. And if the dare wasn't of me licking something repulsive, I would have to ask someone I like out. Of course though, I would always chicken out. But she would never stop trying to get me and this boy I liked since the tenth grade. His name was John.

"Ella, Ella are you alright?" I snap out of the daydream that I was in. I didn't even realize I was in one.

"Ya, ya I'm alright. Are you ready to play?" Clary sets down the bottle and starts spinning it. The bottle passes me ten times before landing on Clary. Yes she's up first. What shall I do? Oh I know.

I quickly think of something but wait til' she says truth or dare. "Dare," she says bravely. Oh she would have wished she didn't pick that for the thing I'm about to do. "I dare you to..."

I was cut off by the vibrating of my phone. Weird, who would be calling at this time of the night? I hope it's not work, because hat one presentation 'killed.' I mean metaphorically of course.

But why would they call me now, why not in the morning or earlier today? Maybe it's just a butt call, when you accidentally call someone and not mean to. I have done that before. A lot of times actually, maybe I shouldn't keep my phone in my back pocket anymore. I tend to call people when they are in the middle of something important.

The phone keeps ringing. Isn't it supposed to stop after a while? It's been going on for minutes now. I glance over at Clary with a confused look on my face. She seems to be having the same reaction. I don't know who it is, and neither does she.

I jump as I think of the best dare ever. I open my mouth to speak, and look turn my head to Clary. "I dare you to take that call," I say handing the phone to her. The panic comes in her eyes as the phone drops in her hands. Am I a mean person? Is this maybe too far? No, she made me lick all those trashcans in the past, this is my revenge. And besides whoever is on the other line can't be that bad, right?
