Chapter 3. Maroon Sky

It had been three days. Three very painfully long days.

Currently waiting for Lis as usual.

The train intercom went over twice.

They were a little late.

The train doors slide open.

Lis's hair was curlier looking. Same coat.. lipstick and pearls. Nothing unusual.

"I am on time Lis."

They smiled slightly.

But today she noticed there nails were painted.

"I see. Also I missed evening classes I love waking up late."

They had started hugging her more. Alittle uncomfortable because she wasn't used to long term human contact but she appreciated it they avoided her the plague sometimes.

"And I missed you it's been days."

"Don't worry Rayna didnt kill me. They did try to get back with me but I made sure it was odvious I wasn't leaving you."

OH.

But atleast they denied it.

"So we have no problem? We are together together I worried briefly."

They let go of her nearly. Still looking their and her hand.

"Of course I am as commited to you as I can get." Then they kissed her hand. Pleasant.

"Like the curls."

They stopped suddenly.

"They are still in my hair? I straightened them all morning."

It was suble. But she could see them.

"Barely I can just see the curls because of where I'm standing."

They sighed. Then checked their hair with a compact mirror as they walked to the next station.

Also they fixed her lipstick. She held the bag.

The train ride was calming. They were talking to her minus the glasses looming over their eyes.

Again rambling but she didn't hate it today. There voice was calmer ..ish. "-basically Raynas ex ended the relationship and now she wants me again but I told her dead on I was dating you. She didn't believe it but I was head strong and said I was serious."

"Yeah thats really unexpected."

They looked at her.

"Like I said very expected. Then she took it was an offense it's no secret no one date her willingly. I know I dated her first but it was different I didn't know her." Lis sat on the seat and held onto the side rail.

She promptly put an arm around their waist. She could.

"So true Lis. Also our stop is next."

They slightly lowered there glasses. "Oh are we?"

"Yes I recognise the turn the train just went by."

After seconds she was proven right. It was.

When they left the the station the tall ish figure of Rayna was by the entrance of the college.

Lis had actually gotten some resistance to her knowledge.

When they approached the two of them Lis didn't completely recoil.

"Hey Alyssa..Claire."

The fake smile showed in their eyes. They didn't slightly move.

"Evening Rayna." Again they shook her hand. Lis was clutching her shoulder calmly. The look was almost amusement.
