Chapter 5

Ransom was shocked to see that the lady, who was in her early 40s, looked just like you. She stands next to her 2 years older husband, and he could see that you also got some features from him.

He knew what they did to you. Your parents were only teengagers when they had you. You were four years old when you got hit by them everyday. They were abusive.

Shortly after your fifth birthday, they got reported by the police and charged with child abuse. Your grandma raised you and kept you away from them, and you were thankful for that. You were 16 when you found out that your parents were out of jail. They tried to reach out to apologize, but you ignored them.

They later moved to France and have been living there since, until now. They still live there but when they found out that you were expecting a baby, they wanted to be there for their daughter. They wanted to apologize for everything and wanted to be there for their daughter and grandbaby.

Ransom wanted to protect you from them. They hurt you. You were only a child.

Ransom wanted to hear what they had to say before kicking them out of the house.

"Yes, she lives here" Ransom said. Your father was about to say something, but Ransom stopped him.

"I know who you are and I know what you have done to Y/N but I wanna hear what you have to say before I do anything else" Ransom said

Your parents were honestly shocked but it's the answer they expected.

"We know what we did, but things have changed. We saw her with you leaving the baby store a few hours ago and decided to give a visit." your mother said.

"How did you know she was pregnant?" Ransom asked.

"Well, since your family is well known here and rumors spread quick in this town" Your mother said.

Good, now the whole town was spreading rumors about Ransom expecting a baby with an unknown woman.

Ransom stood there and listened. He saw that they were really trying to change, but something sounded off.

"Where is she now?"your mother asked

"She is sleeping and I don't want to wake her up. The doctor told her to rest more for the baby's sake" Ransom said

Before your mother and father could say anything else, Ransom said this

"If you want to, you can come and visit us when she is ready. She is the one who is gonna decide if she wants to talk to you or not. You put her through alot and I don't want her to stress since she is pregnant, so could you please leave and I would let you know if she wants to talk to you or not." Ransom said

Your parents did not want to continue this conversation, so they left the house and gave Ransom their contact information.

Ransom went straight to your shared bedroom and saw that you were still sleeping. He sat at the end of the bed and admired your beauty, until you began to wake up.

"Hello honey. How was your sleep?" Ransom asked. He was prepared for you to be mad at him for letting his mother scream at you, but you took it easy since you knew it's not his fault that his mother chose to talk to you like that.

"I slept pretty good actually" you said

"I need to tell you something, but promise me you wont get mad." Ransom said while looking at your confused expression.

"Ransom, what did you do?"You said

"Well, the thing is.." Ransom said "Your parents came back from Europe and they know about our marriage and your pregnancy. They wanted to talk to you, but I told them that it's up to you. They agreed and they gave me their contact information if you ever want to talk to them." Ransom said really fast and you were looking at him with wide eyes.

"WHAT?!?" You screamed. Your parents came all the way back to Europe to see you after so many years and now want to get to know you better. The people who gave you traumas for life came back. You still remember the awful nightmares you had during high school after finding out about them being released from jail. Ever since you told Ransom about your parents, he did everything in his power to help you overcome those nightmares and sure enough he helped you alot.

You knew that there was something more than just getting to know you better, but what if they were willing to apologize for everything?

"Ransom, you know what I have been through and you can't just let them into our home like nothing happened. Do you know how much trauma they caused me? You should have thought about our child's safety before letting them in." You said while being really pissed at your husband.

"Baby I know everything you have been through but what if you just listened to them to see what they want. If you don't want to see them again, then I completely understand but talk to them first. I will be there to protect you." Ransom said

You were mad at him but your heart also melted when he said that he was gonna protect you.

"Okay, I will but we got way more important things then them now" You said

Ransom nodded and said "Do you still want to eat the dinner we bought because I am starving"

You chuckled and said "I am starving too since I am eating for two"

You both laughed and went downstairs to eat dinner. As you waited for Ransom to put food on a plate, you thought about everything. Most people don't even remember anything until they reach 5 years of age, but you remember everything. you don't have a single good memory of your parents.

Shortly after your 16th birthday, they tried to contact you but your grandma did not allow it. They gave up and went back to Europe and never saw them again, until now.

You were having a family of your own and would do anything to protect it from people who wanted to destroy it.

Your child was gonna have the best childhood ever and you knew that Ransom would spoil them.

Ransom did not have a perfect childhood either, so of course he would spoil them. The child was not even born yet, but it already had enough clothes and toys. You are just waiting to find out the gender so that you can finish your nursery.

Your baby is not even born yet, but is already loved by most caring people on earth...
