It was like an unwritten rule in the world of Formula One that the night of the Monaco Grand Prix was also a big night out for everyone involved drivers, team personnel etc.

Even though Chase was still in pain from his accident earlier during the race, he insisted on going out with Lily and the other drivers for her first night out in Monaco.

Lily was hesitant on going out at first as she had never been out with Chase when he was with his fellow Formula One drivers and for her first time to be on such an iconic weekend in such a popular place felt like a lot of pressure.

Because of the fact she wasn't expecting to be invited on the iconic night out, Lily didn't have too many going out outfits with her.

This was Chase's 4th year in Formula One as he had his rookie season when he was just 18 years old and therefor had many nights out with the grid in his time.

Lily arrived at Chase's new Monaco apartment that he had recently acquired in recent months with her suitcase in hand as the Audi driver had insisted there was no point in her booking her hotel room again when she could stay with him seeing as he was the one who invited her out.

Naturally, Lily had only booked her hotel from Thursday to Sunday as she assumed she would be heading home with her parents after the race was finished but she was wrong.

"I'm not going out if I look undressed." Was the first thing Lily said as Chase opened the door to let her into the apartment.

This was also the first time Lily had gotten a chance to visit Chase in his new apartment in the principality of Monaco.

"Lily you like fine. You're not undressed at all." Chase told her as he closed the door behind them as Lily made her way into the living room.

"Nice place Jones." Lily spoke as she placed her suitcase next to the sofa and made her way through the living room and into the kitchen.

"Come on, I'll show you the spare bedroom." Chase said and let the Bennett girl down the hallway where there was two bedrooms located straight across the hall from each other. The one on the right was Chase's and the left one was a spare bedroom.

"My bedroom." Lily exclaimed as she opened the door and laid down on the surprisingly comfy bed after dumping her suitcase by the door.

"My spare bedroom." Chase corrected her with a smile on his face as he leant against the door frame and watched his friend testing the bounce in the bed.

"It's my room now. You better not let anyone else sleep in here." Lily spoke as she stood up from the bed to fix her hair.

"I'll just make my parents sleep on the floor when they visit then shall I?" Chase wondered grinning with his arms crossed.

"I suppose Angela and Sean can sleep in my room. But no one else." Lily said warningly pointing a finger at her friend.

"Now come on, we've drinking to do." The Audi driver said as he grabbed Lily's arm and dragged her to the front door.

A lot of drinking and dancing later, Lily had become very acquainted with the drivers of the F1 Grid.

And after spending a lot of time convincing the boys she wasn't Chase's girlfriend, Lily was now at the bar getting drinks for the pair while the Audi driver was in the bathroom.

Lily was dancing slightly to the music while taping her fingers against the bar waiting for the bar tender to come back with her drinks.

"You and Chase seem cozy." Jack's voice spoke as he joined Lily at the bar.

"You sound jealous." Lily replied without making eye contact with the Bennett racing driver.

"I'm just saying what everyone else is thinking." Jack shrugged his shoulders before leaning on the bar next to Lily.

"And what are you thinking?" The Bennett girl wondered turning to face him after the bartender came back with her drinks.

"I think he's a play boy but I doubt you care about my opinion." Jack told her.

"You don't even know Chase, what qualifies you to make that assumption about him." The brown haired girl asked.

She knew it was true. Chase had that look about him in both his appearance and his attitude. He screamed play boy from a mile away.

"Hey, you asked my opinion. I'm just giving it." Jack shrugged his shoulder before walking away.

Lily stood in silence for a moment. At one time, yes, she did feel that way about Chase but not anymore.

She has seen his play boy ways and would never wanna be treated the way he treats girls. Like a Kleenex.

Of course he was still her best friend and that would never change. But as far as romantic feelings went, Lily Bennett certainly didn't have them for Chase Jones anyway.

But that didn't mean she wasn't starting to have them for someone else.

That night, Lily laid in bed, in the spare room of Chase's apartment, wide awake.

The party ended around 2am and everyone dispersed to their various beds, some in houses, some in apartments and some in hotels.

It was now 4am and Lily couldn't sleep. Images of a certain F1 driver danced around her head.

That may have been due to the face that his name had lit up on her screen about an hour ago.

I'm sorry about what I said about Chase. I know he's your friend. I didn't mean it. I may have been slightly jealous.

Jealous.

That was the word that kept taunting Lily for the last hour.

Why was he jealous of Chase? Surely not because of what everyone was saying and him and Lily. It couldn't be.

Lily also knew that the last thing Jack would expect right now would be for her to reply. He most likely send the message thinking she would be sound asleep in bed by the time he hit send.

But she wasn't. She always slept with the TV on when going to bed as some background noise and she felt particularly awake when she came home from the nightclub. It may have been due to the fact that the Bennett girl decided to jump into the shower when she got home to wash the sweat and club smell from her body.

And now she was even more awake as Jack's message seemed to mock her as it sat on her screen.

After a while Lily decided to get herself a glass of milk hoping it would help her sleep.

Little did she know that in a hotel room a couple hundred miles down the road, Jack Harris laid awake regretting send that message to Lily, knowing it would prompt an awkward conversation between the two at some stage.
