Cruelty

Sometimes I wonder,

Who will care?

If I lose myself,

Who will be there?

A world of uncertainty,

A life full of lies,

Who will hold me?

When I cry.

How I wish I could be free,

Away from all the pain,

But life gives me a cruel laugh,

As I'm dragged by invisible chains.

When I finally break,

How many will remember?

The person I was,

After all, I'm just a pretender.

Fake smiles, fake dreams,

Nothing matters anymore,

Love used to help,

Now my tears are all ignored.

My disappointed heart is shattered,

I wish I never believed,

My life is worthless,

In a world that gave up on me.
