It didn't take me too long to reach the locker room. I changed into my gym clothes and headed to the gym. We had a substitute teacher today, Ms. Pearl. We didn't have much to do, so we took a few laps around the basketball court, followed by some free time. I was pretty bored, so I picked up a basketball and started playing alone.

That was until Marsha Madelle interrupted me. She had a smirk on her face, and I knew she was up to no good. "So, when were you planning on telling me about you and Andrew?" she said smugly.

I wanted to smack her and laugh at the same time. She could tell I was getting annoyed, and she only laughed and kept talking. "You guys must talk a lot… with you keeping your mouth shut, and Andrew only ever opening his mouth to insult someone, other than you, of course." Okay, she was right about those things, but that doesn't mean she had to rub it in! Besides, Andrew and I aren't dating anyway, and there's no way we ever could. I made a basket and said, "Me and Andrew aren't dating!"

She only gave me a look.

"Shut up," I said, bursting into laughter and tossing the ball to her. We played until the end of class, and it was a tie. Marsha may drive me crazy sometimes, but she could always find a way to put me in a better mood.
