"Taeyoung, would you mind help me?"

"Oh sure, what is it Miwon?"

"If the lecturer gave any assignments, can you please tell me"

"Ah! I would always remind you if there's any assignments, well you should get some rest Miwon"

"We will be visiting you every weekends"

Taeyoung and Chaeyon left her alone in the room. The doctor came in together with the nurses, the nurse was checking on Miwon's health and do some blood test. After the blood test, the doctor asked her about her appetite, Miwon's smile dropped by the time the doctor asked her

"I don't know, every time I eat something it only last long for about 5 minutes and I already feel like I want to throw up and I keep getting digestion since the last few days ago"

"What do you usually eat"

"I always eat instant food since the first week of me being a college student because It's hard for me to even cook especially when the day I came home pretty late"

After the the talk, suddenly the doctor tell Miwon something that makes her speechless

"If your appendix still like this, we need to make a surgery for you"

Miwon just nod and stayed quiet and didn't eat the dinner the hospital provided, she stay silent for the whole night and weeks pass by nothing changes at all. She barely eat or drink anything.

On 19th July 2023,Tuesday evening, she decided to walk outside and took some fresh air. Since it was blossoming, she found an empty bench and pick the seat quickly. She was watching the scenery alone without anyone bothering her but suddenly a guy came up to her

"Sorry for bothering, but was this seat taken?"

The guy seems to be the patient and also polite, Miwon just shook her head and gave him some space to sit.

After minutes of awkward silence between the both of them the guy ask Miwon some few question

"So..., what's your name"

"I'm Hwang Miwon. And you?"

"I'm Sim Jake"

Miwon doesn't seem surprise but happy that she managed to make friends while she's in hospital

"What kind of disease you get? I have trouble with my appendix and apparently I'll take the surgery next week"

"one of my kidney was damaged and the doctor said that they couldn't find any donators for my kidney replacement and I've been in hospital for a month now"

Miwon felt bad listening what Jake been through, she decide to always visit him but she's too shy to ask him out. Instead of asking Jake she gave him her bed number. Jake then look into Miwon's eyes and smiled brightly at her

"I never had any visitors since I was in hospital but you're my first visitor, let's be friend"

Jake jump out from his bench like a child and held his hand to Miwon still smiling at her. Jake's smile makes Miwon smile too

"Let's go! It's getting late now or the nurses will scold us. Hehe"

The both of them went inside but before they went back to their room Jake called Miwon back

"Miwon wait! Can I have your number so that we can always keep on touch?"
