chapter 3

Jake, Taeyoung, Chaeyon and Miwon's parents waited for Miwon for an hour outside the surgery room. Jake was holding a bouquet full of sunflowers, Miwon's dad sat next to him while they were waiting for Miwon

"What's your name?
How do you know my daughter? Because my daughter keep talking about you, so I was just curious about it"

"I'm Sim Jake and I know Miwon because we always talk about our favourite stuff every evening. Miwon seems charming, friendly, smart and nice, I love being friends with her"

Miwon's dad mr Hwang Sunjoo is a wealthy man, he's the CEO of the International Bank. He smiled at Jake and they continue talking to each other while Miwon's mom mrs Hwang Gaenul was talking to Taeyoung and Chaeyon

"Thank you Jake, my daughter never had any male friends in her entire life but you're her first male friend she ever had. I'm glad that you make her happy while she's suffering from her disease, she said that you were her light while she was suffering with her disease. You always cheer her up and please, I'm here willing to help you right here right now, I'll pay for your treatment if you agree"

Jake was too stunned to speak, since his parents weren't as rich as Miwon's, he was thinking about his choice and one of the doctor came out from the surgery room

"I have a good news here, your daughter survived during the surgery. There was just a tad of damage, we tried our best to recover the damage and it success. Right now she was put to sleep"

Jake was waiting outside from her room letting her parents and best friend visit her first before him, after they came out from her room, Mr Sunjoo say something before they leave

"Please take care of my daughter, I'll make your dreams come true"

Jake couldn't say anything but bowing in front of Miwon's parents and quickly went inside Miwon's room noticing she was waiting for Jake

"Minnie!!! I miss you! How are you feeling right now? Here, I bought a bouquet of your favourite flower"

Jake place the flower next to her bed and hugged her while slightly blushing. Miwon was brushing Jake's hair through her fingers while looking at him feeling guilty to tell something to him

"Hey Jake, I'm sorry but I had to tell you in case if you wandering around in this hospital tomorrow, but the doctor said I'll be discharged tomorrow. But I promise I'll always visit you after class"

Jake then look into her eyes pouting knowing he also had something to tell Miwon before she'll be discharge from hospital tomorrow

"Hey Minnie, I also have something to tell you but I'm just scared"

"What is it?"

"I actually like you, I know that was kinda cliché and out of sudden. It's okay if you don't like me back, I understand"

Miwon stayed quiet and look somewhere else to avoid eye contact with Jake because she also felt the same for Jake

"I... Also like you too Jake"

Miwon tried to look into Jake's eyes while she was blushing

"You look cute when you're flustered"

Jake then tucks Miwon's hair to the back of her ear revealing her sunflower ear rings

"From now on you're my Sunflower Girl"
