The New King

REUNITING THE UNIVERSE

"Hurry up Arthur! The new king is almost here!" Shouted Arthur's uncle, Jackswell. Arthur rushed outside and rejoined with his uncle. Arthur's parents died in the universe war in 1990.

Arthur stood next to his uncle and put on his sad face. "Arthur, what is it now?" Asked his uncle, who was struggling getting to the front line. Arthur followed him,"I miss mom and dad. Wish they were here."

"And it all started in the war between our universe, the light universe was colonized by the dark universe. But rumors say that if you are able to reunite both universes you could be able to reawaken the victims of the war." Jackswell explained.

"Really? Wow! I really gotta reunite them! But how, uncle Jack?" Asked Arthur desperately. "The elders do say that if you are able to collect the ten scrolls and join them together, forming a poem, that if you read it out loud, you can awaken the blue dragon of life and it will awaken the dead." Replied Jackswell.

In the middle of his deep thought, the sound of trumpets shocked him. Rows of soldiers marched. Behind them were a stud of horses followed by a carriage. Inside the carriage is a young and handsome man smelling a rose pinned to his golden coat. After sometime he would wave his hand to the crowd.

Arthur asked Jackswell,"who's that? Is he the new king for the light universe?" "Why, yes, he is Demias, son of King Welsons. He is also one out of 10 people who knows where the blue dragon's scrolls are. His uncle is a great friend of mine too. After the parade ends, you can go to the castle and have a small chat with him." Replied Jackswell, smiling while thinking about old memories with Demias' uncle, Jedediah.

Time flew fast for Arthur and without him knowing, the parade had ended. So he went back home, changed his clothes to the best suit he got and walked on foot to the king's castle. It was a huge castle with 2 guardsmen guarding the front door of the castle.

Arthur approached the front door and said to one of the guardsmen," Um, I wanted to see king Demias..." The guard looked at Arthur and said in his nicest possible voice," And what makes it that I should let you in, young man?"

" My uncle is a great friend of the king's uncle. Now would you let me in?" Both guardsmen laughed loudly. One of them stopped and wanted to say something, but suddenly the front door opened. An old man with reading glasses walked out of the door.

"Why, if it isn't old Jackswell's nephew, you look a lot like him, Arthur. Tell me, what brings you here, boy?" Said the old man, embracing Arthur. Though feeling uncomfortable, Arthur walked with the old man into the castle,"you must be Jedediah. My uncle told me so. I wanted to see King Demias." Said Arthur." That's me! Well here's Demias' room. Make yourself feel like home. Jedediah opened the door and let Arthur in. " thanks."

Arthur clears his throat and said, " your majesty, sorry for the interruption. I was thinking that maybe you could tell me more about the blue dragon's scroll." "Ah, the scroll. Yes, I know where one of them is. But you think I'll tell you that easily? The only time I'll tell you is when you can help me sort me the villagers in Cyan Village's problems, I will give you the first scroll's location." King Demias said.

Arthur thought for a while and finally said,"It's a deal then. I'll go now, your majesty." He left the castle and started on his journey to Cyan Village. Cyan Village is located at the far east part of the kingdom. Though small, it is pretty much populated and the villagers there were mostly poor.
