Why is my body telling me to run away? His eyes hold so much anger towards me yet his smirk shows... amusement. This guy is truly something else. I've never seen anyone like him. Not even Lillian is this crazy... I think. I believe he is truly doing all of this for fun, yet right now he seems a little bit serious. Though I'm sure he isn't so concerned. Yu xi can take care of herself and he knows that. So what is making him so mad? He is readable yet unreadable at the same time. It's like reading a book in a different language.
Readable but not understandable.
"You came here so fast. I'm almost offended you thought I was in actual danger." Yu xi says crossing her arms over her chest.
Ezra raises his brow at her "Are you really scolding me about coming here too fast?"
"It's not like I'm in actual danger," Yu xi says calmly.
I frown at the remark, I should be the one offended.
"Careful Yu xi, the girl may seem innocent but she can be deceiving," Ezra says coldly as he narrows his gaze on me.
"Looks can be deceiving," I remark.
He scoffs and he reaches for his gun in his holster.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," I warn.
"She might not be aiming to kill but she will shoot you in other regions," Yu xi says, a tiny smile forming on her face.
"Who's side are you on? Didn't she hold you against your will a few minutes ago?" Ezra says in annoyance.
"Eh, it was more like girl talk," Yu xi says.
I raise my eyebrows at her. "You are both crazy" I mutter. It's like they react the opposite of what you would expect in situations.
Yu xi catches on to my words and chuckles. "You are not so ill-willed towards people as I expected. You seem, loyal and very well-mannered. You were raised well. I admire you and whoever raised you"
Should I say thank you? Why are we just chatting?
"But you are way too kind. Be careful the person you'd least expect will take advantage of that" She adds.
"Uh, thanks... I guess?" I say awkwardly.
I hear Ezra scoff and draw my attention to him. "Yu xi don't tell me you actually respect this girl"
"I have a name. Or have you forgotten?" I remark, my tone sounding harsh.
"Forgive me, I just don't know what to call you. You have so many identities. Masked waitress, Katherine Mortifer Solaria, or The Rats girlfriend" He says sarcasm lacing his tone as he walks closer to me.
