He would bring her flowers, her favorite snacks, read to her, and hold her hand when she was feeling scared or overwhelmed. He was always there to make her laugh or just listen when she needed someone to talk to and even sing her favorite songs. Ivan took out his guitar from his backpack and started playing a beautiful melody. As he sang, Shane felt her heart flutter and tears started rolling down her cheeks.

She was moved by the beautiful lyrics and the sincerity in Ivan's voice. Other patients who were in the hospital room started clapping and cheering, encouraging Ivan to keep singing for Shane.

Shane felt so special, like no one had ever made her feel before. Ivan's sweet words and beautiful voice brought so much hope and joy to her. As he finish the song Shane couldn't hold back her emotions and she cried even harder. Ivan gently wiped away  her tears and whispered to her, "You're going to be okay, I promise."

The other patients continued to encourage Ivan telling him that Shane was lucky to have someone like him by her side. And they were right, Shane felt so lucky to have someone who cared for her so deeply. It was then that she realized that she was falling in love with Ivan all over again, despite not remembering their past.

One day Shane asked Ivan about their past, and he hesitated before telling her the truth. He explained how they had been childhood sweethearts and had reconnected years later. Shane was surprised, but she couldn't remember any of it. However, she did feel a sense of familiarity whenever she was with Ivan like he was a part of her that she couldn't remember.

Shane's love for Ivan grew stronger with each passing day. She couldn't imagine her love without him now. Whenever he walked into the room, she felt a rush of happiness, and she couldn't help it but smile. She would watch him play his guitar and the way his fingers moved across the strings made her heart skip a beat.

One day,  Shane decided to show Ivan how much she appreciated him. She asked him to teach her how to play the guitar, and he was more than happy to oblige her. As they sat together their fingers intertwined on the strings. Shane, felt a connection with Ivan that she couldn't explain. After their lesson, Shane looked up at Ivan and said, "Thank you for everything. I don't know what I would do without you." Ivan smiled, "You don't have to thank me, Shane. I love being here with you. It's where I belong."

Shane's heart swelled with warmth at Ivan's words. She couldn't believe how lucky she was to have someone like him in her life. She looked into his eyes and saw the sincerity in them. She knew that he meant every word he just said. At that moment, Shane realized that she didn't need her memories to know that she was in love with Ivan. With a smile on her face, Shane leaned in and gave Ivan a hug. It was a simple gesture, but it meant the world to her. She didn't need to say anything more, her actions spoke louder than voice. As she pulled away, Shane looked up at Ivan and said, "I'm glad you're here with me too." Ivan's eyes sparkled with happiness and he leaned in to give her a gentle kiss on the forehead. It was a small, sweet gesture but it made Shane feel like everything was going to be okay as long as they were together.

Shane's parents and sister continued to be her rock, always by her side and offering endless support throughout her recovery. They would sit with her for hours, listening to her recount the same memories over and over again never losing patience or getting frustrated. As the days turned into weeks, Shane's condition gradually improved. Her broken ankles had healed and she was able to walk with the help of a physical therapist. But she still had no memories of her past life and that was the hardest thing for her to come to terms with.

Despite this, Shane couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and safety whenever she was around with Ivan. She found herself drawn to him  fascinated by his every word and action. She knew there was something special about him but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Meanwhile, Sara had been keeping a close eye on Ivan. She knew something about him that Shane didn't, and it was making her uneasy. One day she pulled Shane aside and tried to warn her.

"Shane, I know you trust Ivan, but there's something you should know. He's not who he says he is. I don't want to ruin things for you, but I can't keep this to myself anymore," Sara said her tone is serious.

Shane looked at her in confusion.  "What do you mean? What's going on?" She asked. But Sara shook her head. "I can't say anymore, Shane. Just be careful, okay?"

Shane was taken aback by her sister's warning but she couldn't deny that there was a small part of her that felt uneasy around with Ivan at times. However, she quickly dismissed the feeling. Chalking it up to her own paranoia and insecurities.

Eventually, the doctor deemed Shane fit enough to be discharged from the hospital. Her parents and sister were overjoyed, and Ivan couldn't hide his happiness either. As they prepared to leave Ivan took Shane's hand and whispered to her, "I know it's scary not remembering anything, but I'm here for you. Always."

Shane smiled up him feeling a warmth spread through her chest. She knew there was something special with Ivan, something that made her feel safe and loved, even though she couldn't remember why, and for now, that was enough.
