Ross stepped out of the 1911 Renault AX Limousine on to the bustling loading dock. Right next to the busy expanse of the area was the most massive ocean liner one has ever seen.
The 52,310 ton hunk of steel floated superiorly in the waters of the Southampton docks.

The sunny day with a slight breeze was what many would consider the perfect day to set sail on a ship. But Ross couldn't understand how the sky seemed so cheerful when he felt like it was going to be one of the worst days of his existence. It was the ship of dreams to everyone else, but to him it was a slave ship, taking him back to America in chains. This day would be like many others, the only exciting thing will be the new setting in which he will carry out his normal routine. Trail behind his mother and meet new people and talk business. Outwardly, Ross was everything a well brought up man should be. But on the inside, he was screaming.

Meeting people sounded exciting to Ross but they weren't the kind of people he wanted to meet. They weren't Exciting or adventurous as he craved them to be. They were pompous and arrogant, Always looking at people not of their status as filth or unassociable.
The only thing they knew to talk about was business or the weather, or in other cases of the ones who lived for gossip , who was getting married and who was cheating on who.

You see, Ross had an unquenchable desire to break free of this life, explore the world, and not on business or his family's wealth. He wished to live a life where he wasn't held back from the simplest desires.

Mrs. Ruth DeWitt Bukater had one objective on taking this ship to New York, some of the worlds wealthiest people were aboard and where there were wealthy men, there were their daughters. And she was bound and determined to find one of those half brain, dimwits and marry them to her son. It was the perfect pawn to keep them out of the work houses. After the death of Ruth's second husband she had used up almost all of their expenses and had just enough to buy tickets for this ship. She had also come across some extra money she had funneled out of her son's private account she had stash cash up in over the years, he just didn't know it. She saw the perfect opportunity to swipe it from him, said he was saving it for a college or something useless as that. Well if he wasn't going to spend the money, she would.

Ross was at least adamant about one thing. Even if it killed him he would loose his virginity to a man before he was, against his will, married to a woman he barely knew. He at least wanted to find someone tolerant enough to help him in his predicament, it didn't have to be love, although Ross once dreamed of a romantic relationship with someone, those dreams had long been crushed by the short amount of time he had left to even be romantically sociable.

Still after snuffing the flames of romance out of his heart Ross still felt it burn with a passion the back of his mind, he wished for it every night before sleep and when he woke in the morning he awoke to know it would never be true.

Still fighting this internal and external battle of his, Ross resided quietly behind his mothers side, like he always had since childhood. Never to be more than a spectical, only to talk on occasions that his opinion was asked, and even then it was never really his, it was just a reiteration of what his mother had drilled in to his head to say. It was her speaking through him.

Standing on the bustling docks with the swarms of people going every witch way was Ross with his mother, ordering her servants and the loaders to be very gentle with our many belonging we would lug onto the ship with us. 'But honestly mother who brings a portable couch on a ship with them.' Was one of Ross's thoughts as he watched the hustle and bustle about the ship, everyone getting ready to board.
