estella had lost kasper. she didn't know where he was. she was in the woods, running away from a herd of walkers that were close by. she hadn't seen daryl and the rest of the group in at least a week, since she got stabbed in the thigh and kasper had taken her away, like daryl had told him to. she had been alone for two of the seven days. she had no idea where kasper was, but she hoped that he was okay. she hoped more than anything that the rest of the group were okay. she had to find them, but it seemed as though she had looked everywhere. she couldn't find alexandria from the place she was. she had literally never been in that area before, she was pretty sure. she was near the city, and alexandria was not next to the city at all. she just wanted somebody to find her.

she had her knife clenched in her hand, and her crossbow on her back. there was at least forty walkers behind her, and all of them were catching up. she had fallen over, and she was pretty sure she had broken her ribs, but she wasn't sure. she knew one thing, and that was that she was in complete pain. she could barely run. she was doubled over, trying her hardest to get away from them, and not getting dragged down in the process. she hadn't eaten or had anything to drink in four days, so her body was weak. she wasn't sure she could go much longer, but she had to. she had to fight. she was not leaving the earth without saying goodbye. she was not finding the exit without daryl. no way.

"no!" estella weakly called out, as a walker grabbed her foot and sent her flying to the ground again. "get off me, damn it!"

as the walker snapped it's jaw in front of her face, she managed to stick her knife straight into it's skull and scramble herself up, as she tried her hardest to ignore the pain in her entire body. but then, on her way up, another walked grabbed her. she screamed as she felt a horrible, sharp pain in her stomach, but still managed to hit the walker in the head with a rock, as she stabbed another one with her knife. then, she actually managed to get up. she managed to get up and do so much as crawl away from them.

"dad!" estella yelled, a tear running down her face as she tried her hardest to keep going. "dad! judith! maggie! kasper! jack!"

nobody came. nobody was nearby. she found a cabin, so she got in there as fast as she could, and slammed the door behind her. she locked it, and collapsed on the floor. all she could hear on the outside was walkers slapping on the walls, on the doors, on the windows, all of them trying to get another taste of her flesh. she was in pain. she was in more pain than she had ever been in her entire life, and that was saying a whole lot. but still, with the last bit of strength she had, she pulled herself onto a sofa in the living room, and pulled off her backpack, ignoring the pain.

she wasn't sure if she was going to survive. she grabbed her notebook, where she used to draw stars for all the walkers she had killed. there was a whole lot of stars in that book. she ripped out a page, as she got a pen, too, and began to write. she wasn't sure what she was writing, but she just let it come from the heart. it took the pain away from her stomach, so that was always a plus. she was in so much pain. she just wanted to cry, she wanted to give up, but she wasn't going to. she needed to find her family.

"you know, there's no way you're going to survive this. maybe it's just time." she heard a voice, making her look up. carl.

"no, no. this isn't real. you're not real." she said, burying her head in her hands. "leave me alone, you're dead. you've been dead."

carl sadly smiled as he walked toward her. "oh, estella. don't you understand? you are, too. it's a lot better here than it is out there. you're safe here, we all are."
