Once we entered the venue, everything got crazy. There were managers running around asking if anyone had seen the performers, electricians checking the fuses and the wires, workers yelling things like "T-SHIRTS! GET YOUR T-SHIRTS HERE!" and "CHEAP FOOD HERE!"
I followed Cynthia, Sadie, and Bobbie into a hallway towards the back. Within the hallway, there were doors to many different rooms, which I'm guessing were dressing rooms. All of them had names on the doors, some I knew and others I didn't. Cynthia patted Bobbie's head just before she stopped in front of a door that was labelled "THE STRANGERS." Bobbie then booped Cynthia's nose as a sign of affection and Sadie rolled her eyes jokingly at them. When Sadie opened the door, I was shocked yet somehow not surprised at what I saw.
In front of me was a group of men, there was about four of them. Two were sitting on a sofa, the other two were sitting opposite each other in big chairs. All of the furniture was pointed facing a table in the middle. The table had cans of beer, bottles of almost every other kind of alcohol, cigarettes, joints, bowls, and bongs were sprawled out everywhere. One of the guys on the couch sat there strumming an acoustic guitar. I immediately started coughing upon entering the room due to the amount of smoke in it. The smell from the pot was enough to get me to leave, but I had to do this. It was what I'd been waiting for for so long.
"You guys missed me?" The words rolled off of Cynthia's tongue so confidently, like she was used to talking to them.
"Nah, not really," joked one of the members. I didn't know any of their names, because the records I bought did say names, but it didn't tell who was who or have pictures that corresponded with the names.
"Oh, shut up. Brought you guys a new friend, her name's Luna," Cynthia informed them that I was there. Honestly, they probably wouldn't have even noticed I was there if Cynthia didn't tell them.
"Luna, this is Harry, Russell, Peter, and Johnny." She pointed to each member as she said the name. Russell had long wavy brown hair and a mustache. He was so good-looking, it was no doubt that he was the heart-throb of the group. Peter had curly blonde hair that was about medium length. He smiled at me and a dimple showed poking through his cheek. Johnny was the one playing guitar. He had ginger hair that was in a slight quiff but swooped over slightly. He barely looked up from his guitar to acknowledge me. But, the one that had the most effect on me was Harry. Oh god, he was gorgeous. He had silky looking brown hair that touched his shoulders. The curls in his hair looked broken and tousled. He looked up at me with his green eyes that sparkled like emeralds. He looked at me and smirked. I instantly tensed up at that, knowing that when you're a groupie you basically give your body away. He was leaning back onto the couch. He blew out smoke from his joint in the shape of a circle.
"Don't let it die a virgin!" Peter exclaimed, poking his finger through the circular cloud of smoke. (A/N this is from the virgin suicides lmao)
"What did I miss?" I heard a voice that was unfamiliar say. It was coming from the back corner of the dressing room. Then, a girl slowly appeared out from a bean bag chair. That girl was practically swallowed whole by it!
She had plump lips coated with a dark red lipstick, her hair was dark and long. She dressed like the female version of Bowie. She looked amazing. She was wearing a sunhat, though, which I didn't quite get, seeing as we were inside and it's night time. She also had a pair of sunglasses hanging on the neckline of her velvet green top. She wore red leathery shorts and red leather platform boots.
"Hi, I'm Amethyst," she blew a bubble with her gum after she introduced herself to me.
"I'm Luna," I said. It was the first thing I'd said the entire time I was in this room.
Cynthia walked over to Russell where she sat on his lap and proceeded to make out with him. Bobbie and Amethyst sat down together on the floor talking and playing hand games. Sadie sat down by Peter and started playing with the hem of his shirt as he watched her. I was left standing near the doorway, just observing everyone else. What am I supposed to do? Where do I go?
"Luna, come sit by us," Bobbie invited me by her and Amethyst. I sat down and crossed my legs, not really worrying about my underwear showing. It seemed like no one would care here even if you were naked, so why bother worrying about it?
"So you've been introduced to everyone, but you need to know further. Cynthia and Russell have a thing. Like a serious thing. Don't get in the way of that, ever." Amethyst informed me as Bobbie nodded along, agreeing with her
"Sadie and Peter may look like they have a thing, but they don't really. Peter doesn't have a preference on which girl he chooses on what night. Sometimes it's just one of us, sometimes it's Sadie, Bobbie, and me all at once." She went on and elaborated further. I was waiting for her to get to Harry already. I wanted to find out if I was allowed to be his girl.
"Johnny doesn't really take part in this stuff, maybe once in blue moon, though. He keeps to himself most 'the time and plays that damn guitar." Okay, next.
"Harry might seem quiet now, but he's crazy. I've been with him a couple times, so've the other girls. He's never satisfied with what you get him, but he's respectful. Just don't mess with him, is all I'm sayin'. He hasn't committed to any of us girls yet, maybe it'll be you. Who knows, anyhow? He doesn't really talk much about his life, so I don't know lots about him. He's all sorts of mysterious." Finally I was getting the information I needed.
"I guess he really does fit into that stereotype of the mysterious lead singer, huh? On stage, though, you gotta see him. He's on fire, man! It's like you're a candle, right, and he's burning your wick 'cause that's how hot he is up there," Bobbie chimed in, I giggled at her analogy. She was obviously high enough to be making dumb comments like that. I think I'm gonna like it here.
Bobbie and Sadie both looked at each other and grinned when a new song started playing throughout the room. I recognized it as Get It On by T-Rex. They both got up and started dancing and singing with each other, not really minding the rest of the people in the room. But then again, the other people in the room didn't mind them either.
Soon after, Russell and Cynthia got up and joined them. Peter got up and grabbed Amethyst and started dancing with her. I sat down between Harry and Johnny. Harry nodded his head towards me as a greeting. I smiled back at him, hiding the fact of how uncomfortable and awkward this was.
"So how old are you?" Harry asked me.
"I'm fifteen," I started to say. What if he thought I was too young and didn't want to be with me.
"That's cool, man. It's just that you girls always make me feel so old, man," (A/N vote for this story bc there's gonna be a lot more great stoner harry moments like this one)
"You don't think I'm a little too young?" I questioned him. I read that Jimmy Page had groupies that were thirteen and fourteen, so maybe it wasn't that uncommon. Even if it was common though, it was still weird. He must be in his twenties.
"Nah, you're fine. The girls, they're better when they're young. More energized," I got a little freaked out. Was he talking about sexually?
This is what I wanted, though. I came here with the sole purpose of being close with the band. This is why I came here. Why am I getting freaked out?
He spoke to me in choppy sentences, sometimes even in fragments. Even though this was his way of speaking, I understood him.
"So you want some grass?"
