i'm alice westenson. 15 years old, and ready to get out of this town. music is the air i breathe, it's what sets me apart from many of my other peers. i collect endless magazine articles and posters about my favorite bands. i study them, they're all i think about.
my dream is to be a groupie. no, i'm not like those girls that just want to sleep with band members. for me, it's about the music. i love the music and the people who make it, and i just want to thank them for it. that's my way of thanking them.
that's why, this summer i've decided that i'm going to finally become one.
i want to know them, i want to be inside their heads. i want to feel what they feel, have a connection that no one, not even myself, quite understands. i want to figure out how they think; why they think that way.
i want to live the glamorous lifestyle. expensive clothes, gorgeous englishmen, make friends. form bonds. i want to live my life on my own terms. i want to be in charge of myself.
when they ask me who i am, i want to be able to say, "i'm with the band."
