NEEDS BEAUTY REST

Jerome's Point of View:

Sa wakas! Nakauwi na kami ni Lola and tamang-tama ay ginising ko na siya para makapagpahinga na sa kaniyang kwarto. Inalalayan ko siya from the cart and gently enter our home sweet home. Hindi madali ang mapagod talaga e. But thanked goodness at okay na lahat.

"La, dahan-dahan lang. Take a rest na kayo. I'll get you your medicine later po ha. Magpahinga na po kayo sa room niyo. Don't worry about me, I can handle myself. Goodnight Lola. I love you. Sweet dreams. See you tomorrow."

Actually hindi na muna raw siya kakain ng dinner dahil busog na siya kanina. I understand naman. Tsaka whole day rin kasi kami namasada dun sa boulevard. Pati nga ako konti na lang magbe breakdown na ako but I want to show Lola that I'm strong. He raised me with no one stands for her, gusto ko gawin iyon sa kaniya. Ipakita sa kaniya na he raised her grandson as strong as her.

Lola went immediately to her room which is nasa kabila lang malapit sa kusina. I didn't told y'all about that our house are made from bamboo trees. Yes, made in kawayan kaya napaka nature ang theme. Yes. Hindi concrete like what others have yet it's simple but definitely a home for me. There's no other place like home. Malapit kasi din kami sa seaside kaya fresh air pa lang, you can totally breath and feel the sounds of waves. Refreshing.

"Salamat, apo. Oh siya mauuna na ako sa'yo ha. Sabihan mo lang ako kapag may kailangan ka. Magandang gabi." Lola replied and enter her room and lock the door.

And here I am, being left outside organizing the cart we used to sell our kakanins before I go to bed and sleep. Gusto ko matapos na muna lahat para kapag makapagpahinga na ako ay goods na, wala na akong magiging problems and tasks to do pa. I looked at the clock and it's already 7:00 in the evening. I have to finish everything so that I can be able to take my long rest for the preparation tomorrow for the first day of our class. And yes, 9:00 in the morning ang magiging time interval kaya I should be early.

Biglang tumunog ang phone ko sa may malapit sa kahon ng paglalagyan ng perang naipon namin sa pagbenta ng kakanin. Ano kaya naman ang nag popped up sa notifications ko aber? At gabing-gabi na. Kainis.

Those are the list of names in the course. Can't wait to meet my new classmates. Kaya naman I offed the mobile data from my phone and concentrate again to what I'm doing. Hope na magkaclose ko pa sila. And I'm going to build a circle of friends with them all.

Hey wait. I saw that name. Am I supposed to get confused because that name mentioned on the group chat seems familiar to the girl who owned the cat in the Boulevard kanina? Rachel lang kasi sinabi niya but here is Rachel Freya? Jusko. Kung ano-ano na naman iniisip ko. It's impossible pero what if? Hays. Nag-o overthink ka na naman, Romeo.

But what a nice name huh. Rachel Freya. Wanna see this girl tomorrow so that my confusion might went wrong haha. Huy huwag papatol sa classmate, you go to school to learn and finish your studies for the sake of your better future hindi humahanap ng girlfriend. Remember your Lola's Unconditional Love done to you kaya please lubayan mo muna ako love HAHAHAHA.

I wonder na what if Rachel whom I met because of her cat I saved a while ago and this Rachel Freya who's one of my classmates are the same? Only one person lang pala? Jusko. What am I doing. Bahala na nga. Baka mali lang ako ng instincts. Nevermind.

After organizing everything on the cart, I immediately went to bathroom sa labas sa tabi ng kusina. May tank full of water naman na naipon kaya ito na lang kinuha ko para may ipangligo. Dali-dali akong naligo para pagtimplahan pa ng gatas at kunin ang medicine ni Lola. Yes kinda weird right? Hindi gatas na pang baby yung meaning ko, Birch Tree Milk pala hehe.

Natapos na akong maligo and I get the towel na nakasampay outside the door para makapagpalit ng damit. I immediately ran inside so that no one will notice me that I came across haha. Hirap na, marami pa namang stalkers dito chars. I charge my phone on the table so that I can save more energies sa battery ko so that para tomorrow ay full charge ako.

I get my terno pajamas and panda pa talaga ha naks. Okay naman kahit pang jejemon. I comb my hair and put some gel on it and look into the mirror. Naks! Ang gwapo ko talaga. I put some deodorant, moisturizer and perfume para good-looking ako. Since birth na kaya 'to no need but I have to maintain my proper hygiene.

I went outside my room but before everything else, I close the windows and put the curtains on it and switch on the lights for later. I immediately went to Lola's room pero kumatok muna ako for permission. Para na rin makapagpahinga na siya. Wala siyang kasama kasi bukas dahil I'm at school kaya mas mabuti nang mag alarm na ako agad para ako magising ng maaga bukas.

"La, are you still awake pa po? I brought your milk and medicine po so that you can take your rest and beauty sleep." Saad ko nang hindi naman masyadong loud ang voice ko.

"Sige, apo. Pumasok ka na at pakilagay mo na lang sa may lamesa. Kukunin ko rin maya. Tsaka matulog ka na rin ng maaga dahil maaga pa ang pasok mo sa eskwelahan bukas ha. Salamat ng marami." Lola respond so I have no choice but to enter her room and put the glass of milk and medicine on the table.

"Sweet dreams, La." I whispered and kiss her forehead and kinumotan siya.

Mahimbing na tulog na pala siya. She's really tired and so was me. Kaya naman dali-dali na rin akong lumabas sa kwarto niya at sinara ang pinto and turn off the light sa may living room. I also make sure that our padlock is closed enough para walang magtangkang pumasok. I put the heavy chair behind the door for better security. I closed the windows and put some big stones for security also. Kumuha na rin ako ng food sa may lamesa para pang midnight snacks ko.

Afterwards, I get my phone from the table and immediately get inside my room and lock it. Napaka peaceful and napaka cold na rin dahil nga ang hangin ay nakakapasok sa sulok ng bahay. I love to sleep kapag ganito. You can't even heard some noises outside except sa barks ng aso and ng mga owls.

I jumped on the bed and get the blanket and start organizing my school supplies. Ready to go to school na ang Disney Princess niyo chariz HAHAHA ang Prince Charming niyo rather. Yellow pad paper, signed pens, correction tape, and notebook. Naks complete set na. Nag set na rin ako ng alarm para bukas at ni set aside ko na rin ang mga gamit ko and nag start nang tumulog. I gently close my eyes and off my phone and put it on the study table and so as the light switch. I turn it off.

I badly need some beauty rest. Handsome rest rather haha. Goodbye everyone. Rest assure na muna si Romeo while finding his Juliet, in his dreams.
