The maid's heart pounded in her chest as she stared at the headless Iron Warden, its body crumpled to the ground. The man in the sleek black suit,Stood calmly the faint blue glow of dissipating from his hand.

The maid, still trembling, whispered, "Thank you."as she looked up at the man

The man turned his cold, stoic gaze towards Lucian. "You should have finished the job yourself," he said, his voice devoid of emotion. "Relying on others will get you killed.

Lucian stood there, stunned by the swift and decisive intervention of the man in the sleek black suit. His mind raced as he tried to make sense of everything that had just transpired.

The Iron Warden had been defeated with a single, effortless strike, and Lucian's own efforts seemed almost insignificant in comparison.

He started to walk toward the man, a mix of frustration and confusion bubbling up inside him."Wait, who are you-"

But as he approached, his eyes caught a glimpse of a badge pinned to the man's suit. The insignia was subtly embossed, featuring a stylized emblem that Lucian recognized as the symbol of The Seishin Page.

The sight of it stopped him cold. His frustration turned into awe, and his anger dissipated in the face of newfound respect.Lucian's mouth opened and closed as he tried to find the right words.

"You're a-"

The man raised a hand, silencing Lucian with a gesture.

"Your questions will be answered in due time. For now, focus
and preparing for what comes next."

Lucian, still processing what had just happened, nodded.

The maid, who had been quietly observing, walked up to him

She looked down, her face filled with guilt. "I'm so sorry, Lucian. I almost got you killed."

Lucian placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "It's okay. We're both safe now. Let's clean you up."

He helped her brush off the dirt and straighten her clothes. Despite her embarrassment, she managed a small smile of gratitude.

Lucian looked up and saw four more men in sleek black suits approaching. It was unusual for there to be five of them present

Typically, there were only three for such trials. This made both Lucian and his instructor, now standing nearby, uneasy.

"Follow me," the man commanded.

Lucian and his instructor exchanged glances but chose to remain silent. They followed the men to a secluded area where the tests would take place.

they arrive.

The location was reminiscent of an ancient battleground, with towering trees, rocky terrain, and an air of solemnity.

The men announce that
the tests will begin in 30 minutes

Lucian couldn't shake the feeling of dread. The wound from the Warden's strike throbbed painfully, sapping his strength.

Master Kael noticed his discomfort. "What's wrong, Lucian?"

"Nothing" Lucian replied

Master Kael narrowed her eyes, clearly unconvinced.
"Lucian, I can see something is bothering you. You need to be honest with me."

"It's nothing I promise"

Master Kael stares at Lucian blankly

Lucian hesitates before finally admitting
